You and I weren't watching different shows. We were watching SGA, and for those of us who watched without rose-colored glasses, we immediately saw the change in Sam Carter.

First off, there was no chemistry between the SG-1 favorite and the SGA team. The writers didn't show her reaching out to other members of the team, like she did in SG-1. The writers confined her productivity to being SGA mascot and one-woman cheer squad for Rodney McKay and Lt. Sheppard. Last but not least, her role was used to essentially pimp other characters, while she was relegated to the background.

Now, if anyone here still insists that Sam Carter was the best thing since slice cheese, I'd like you gracious fans to review SGA's season 4 and tell me what was it about Sam Carter that was so memorable during her tenure?

Dude, did you READ the title on this thread before coming in here and spouting off? Most of us are not tremendously happy with how Sam was treated during this season, but we all love her and will think she is the "best thing since sliced cheese" no matter what they do to her.

And I think someone forgot to ask before making an assumption.

I'm a fan Sam! I loved her and O'Neal, Teal'c, and Nathaniel.

However, I didn't appreciate how she was written. Now if you've got a problem with that, you come directly to the source and share your complaint. But if you don't mind, I'd like to rant off a bit. Alright?

Rant about poor writing all you want. You won't be alone in that. But don't say Sam isn't a great character just because TPTB are boneheads sometimes.

I really hope the next epi or two shows the Atlantis crew up in arms about Sam being removed from command, especially when they see who's replacing her! If it's handled properly (and no, I'm not holding my breath that it will be), her farewell could turn out to be okay.
