Someone take a video camera Please....

I will be taking notes and posting some information while at the con at my msn spaces account. I will have my laptop with me at the con. I'm not how much I will post at the con and how much I will wait until I get home before posting. I will be taking both digital and 35mm pictures at the con so I will post a few pictures while at the con but most will have to wait until I get home. Amanda is scheduled to be at the breakfast on Sunday and then be on stage that same day.

I've received some signatures/handwritten messages for Olivia's
birthday
on my project, but there's still not that many of those. So I'm sending
a reminder - the deadline is Monday 20th of March. It will leave me
only
2 days to do it and will earn me one night full of no sleep <g>, so if
you do wish to participate, please do so by Monday evening Central
Europe Time. Thank you.

Hello all,
Seeing as in just a little more than two weeks (16 days to be exact)
Olivia B is going to have her very 1st birthday, I thought it might be
nice to send her, Amanda and Alan greetings on the occasion. This
time, however, I would like to do something different than what we
normally have done - which was put together greetings on a page within
AmandaTapping.Com and send it to Amanda. This time, I'd like to do a
page in jpeg format (graphics file[s]) with our collective wishes in
several sentences at the top (if you have poetry at heart and would
like
to write a poem for Olivia's first birthday, I'd love that) and -
that's
most important now - scanned signatures of yours and short info from
you
on where you are in the world (also handwritten).

Note: if you do not wish to reveal your full name, you are most welcome
to use just your online nickname. I can promise you full anonymity -
your name will not go to anyone else than Amanda if you so wish.

All you'd need to do later with it would be to scan it, or
alternatively
take a picture of it with a digital camera, and send it to me. I will
put these together onto one or several graphics files and send it to
her. I think this would make your greetings *far* more personal, this
being your handwriting, than anything typed into a computer would, and
also very important: it would be less time-consuming and overwhelming
to
Amanda to read these rather than dozens of individual messages.

Also, once that is done, I have another idea for the site: basing on
your signatures/locations I might create a large map of Amanda fans for
the website - an interactive page so you could see where the largest
bunches of Amanda fans are in the world.

If you think this is a good idea and want to ahead with this, please
send your scanned/photographed images to [email protected]
with "MY SIGNATURE" in the subject line. Also, please specify in the
mail to me whether or not you would like to be included in the
interactive Amanda-fans map to be placed shortly after at
AmandaTapping.Com.

One more - very important - thing. I am not going to place this type of
announcement at my site for one very important reason: this is supposed
to be a surprise to her and so I can't put that on what is *her*
website
(I will only send it to the members of the site. That is why I would
like to you to send it on to as many lists/friends that you have. I am
on a few, and will forward it there - but obviously I would like to
reach as many fans as I can, so please send it to where I can't. Thank

I just watched Into the Fire and really enjoyed it all over again. I realize that Carter does take charge of a very bad situation when she volunteers to return to Hathor's lair and blow up the generator. Makepeace wants to send backup with her and she looks at the greater good and calmly refuses so he has most men to lead an attack. That's certainly an example of valor and courage under fire, and of her leadership potential. Then there's the whole "threading the needle" scenario with Bra'tac, Hammond, and Teal'c. They played those scenes so well. We have a heroic Tok'ra and a concerned Jack once he throws Hathor over the railing and goes to Sam's aid. I love that embrace - you can take so much meaning from that long hug. Shipper or non-shipper, it was a great scene filled with powerful emotion. Just sayin' ...

Oh, and I go with (b) too ... that seems closest to Sam's personality. As a scientist, she observes and analyzes first so sitting down watching the crowd makes the most sense for her mo.

You know CG I was thinking the same thing about Sam, she was a Captain but took charge of the situation seeing that Makepeace wasn't sure what they could do. And when she went back, she found the Tok'ra spy who helped her not only with Jack but with finding the power source. So I don't think she was disobeying orders when she helped Jack out, she was rescuing her CO and not "leaving a man behind"

Now I'm watching Prometheus, the one where the ship is taken over by the TV crew and Sam is stuck on the ship with her people being held captive. Her bravery abounds since she has no idea that Jack and Teal'c are going to be able to get on the ship. She's trying to sabotage the ship and hopefully save the others on her own. She doesn't have time to think about herself.

I wish Video taping was allowed at the Con - unfortunatley they do not allow for video taping - Comic Con does so if they have an SG panel there again this year then I will plan of taking a video camera to that event.

there will be at least one 'official' shore leave picture. I wnt to get every gateworlder there together for a pic

there might be some others, however i try to keep those at a minimum simply because, well i'm not a fan of having my pic taken so i try not to do it to others without thier permission

the only hard part i have is uploading it. i don't have anywhere to host it...but i might be able to arrange something, presuming the file doesn't get too big. i gotst a friends with plenty of web space

Yeah taping is okay except for in the offical con events - my digital camera can take .mov files so I might do a few but I'm not taking the full size video camera with me for this event.
