I see CBC has cancelled "Strange Empire" after only one season.....didn't Amanda direct an episode of that?....looks like a couple of other SG alumni directed too....we don't have that over here, not sure we will now...maybe Netflix or someone might pick it up?

so i watched 'random acts of romance' last night. finally. FINALLY.

spoilers for movie -

i have mixed feelings on this movie. while i didn't love it, i liked parts, enough to rewatch it.

i did some skipping through b/c i just wanted to watch amanda's parts.


some thoughts...

i felt sorry for pretty much everyone, except richard. his storyline i skipped through the most, so i don't really know what his problem was. and what did he see in that nutcase stalker woman!?


the dianne/matt storyline had the most meat to it, and both actors did really good in their parts! i don't really see what dianne saw in this guy, though. i mean he's cute, but he seems too immature in about every way to see someone like dianne falling for him.

amanda was great in this part!! (and it's fun to see her *so* out of her normal type of characters. )

sometimes i felt dianne was really mean to matt, but i also saw *why* she was just soooo done with relationship. the movie did a good job of showing both sides.

when the kidnapping thing happened, and then it went in such a strange direction... it kind of made me not like the movie too much. but since i watched it last night, and have thought about it a lot, i think it did like it, strange as it was.

i liked the end scene, setting up dianne and david meeting.
