Ooops, I knew I was forgetting something. I was suppose to be working on the flag this weekend. Sorry, I got a little side tracked making a Sam wall. I liked this new season 9 picture of Sam so much that I've made a half dozen different walls using it, but I think I like these two the best so far.

WireImage is a site that sells professional photographs. In order to get the larger image of each photo you have to either subscribe to their site or find someone else who already has. Sorry I couldn't help you out more.

They did a documentary a while back on American TV and I remember the historian saying that Avebury is much more of an intriguing sight than Stonehenge.

I visited Stonehenge in the early '90s and could not believe the commercialism surrounding the site ... a gift shop next to this sacred mound of stones?!! Gad! That was such a letdown.

Hmm, yes, well... Avebury's got a bit of an *uncertain* past - sure it's basically very old, but it was apparently *improved* in more modern times by well-meaning, but misguided, archaeologists (sound like anybody we know? ).

Stonehenge is just weird - it's not like any other site, anywhere, and was probably just built by a bunch of folks showing off to their neighbours (says Professor 1speed ). And yes, it's very commercialised.

This is why I prefer to visit the more remote, lesser known sites - they still have a certain mystery about them, and also seem to posess a strange and pleasantly peaceful ambience (similar to an old cathedral).

I need your help.

I'm working on a website. Which will have a large Stargate section. And I've just come up with a cool idea for it.

For each of the characters pages, I plan to add an audio file which will play when that page is loaded up.

For Jack, I plan to find a audio file of "For cryin' out loud!"

For Teal'c "Indeed"

For Hammond: "SG1, you have a go"

In that vein, what do you think is the 'definitive' Sam phrase that I should track down. I'm not talking about episode specific classics like "Maybourne you're an idiot every day of the week..." I'm talking about a line that either is Sam's catchphrase or simply sums her up.

And knowing you guys I expect 50 replies on the topic when I next swing by Gateworld tomorrow!

This is a really interesting topic, actually.

Nothing specifically comes to mind... lots of technobabble about the gate being a super-conductor, naquadah generators, etc... technobabble seeming to be Sam's "thing." Of course, that led me to:

"And steam comes out and everything."

Followed by:

"Go suck a lemon."

"With all due respect, sir."

I'm sure others will come up with something far more appropriate.

ok, I've been getting a little lost amongst all the fab posts that have occurred while I wasn't here. Gee, I can't believe you guys made it up to page 640. I kind of feel a bit out of the loop now. Don't know any of the latest in jokes, or what's happening in the Samandan news. Small things I've gathered so far:

Season9 has started everywhere except Australia
...but Sam's not really back yet

Samanda has a lot of new faces. Yay, and hi to everyone I haven't met yet .

It's good to see most of the familiar faces too! The royal court still seems mostly intact. I even see, is it, could it be, Lida? You decided to come back . But where oh where is astro? Please tell me she is still around .

Samanda has a motto! hic comitas regit. Is that right? Looks like I'll be doing a few alterations to my sig .
