I only know 'Beyond The Gate - A Convention Experience With Amanda Tapping' and I don't remember seeing that there. Which season is it and which DVD version?

OK, I looked for that and the one you mentioned - while it does sound like it could be it - is from a much later DVD.
Guess I'll have to go through my DVDs but I am pretty certain that it was on a DVD that was released no later than 2003. It's a really short clip in that vid.

I checked season 1 - 6 and the possible extras on it and could not find it. I swear I did not make it up. You guys are usually way better than me at remembering where stuff is. Help!

BTW, AT shows her belly piercing in the first ep of The Lowdown.

It was a Season 8 featurette and in the SG-1 boxset it's special features disc four.

I don't think that's it, it's the featurette that xgfan mentioned and that was released much later.
Unless you've recently watched the featurette and remember the scene I mentioned.

Hey kids, here are a couple of notes from AT8.
We had cocktail party tickets and in true SAmanda fashion I asked her about the hair and told her JanSam had instructed me to do so.


I joked and said that she was back and that at the last few events
they had that other woman there but that she was much funnier.
AT laughed and said that she feels funnier.
I said I couldn't believe when I heard that she went back to blonde but
no one would post pics.

She told us that she woke up one morning and decided to go back to blond.
She called her hairdresser who had done her hair throughout SG1 and
the hairdresser went "Finally!"

When she was done the hairdresser said that she looked much better
as a blonde.
AT: You waited 6 years to tell me that?!

So then with the new hairstyle she tried to take some selfies but
none of them came out right. Then she and her family went on vacation.
After that she went to the Seattle con.
The organizers hadn't put "photo shoot" on the schedule she received
for the Friday but had actually planned one.
So there she was with her plaid shirt that she had been wearing
for the drive from Vancouver.
And apparently no one thought to tell her that she was wearing
the lanyard during the photo shoot.

During the first panel she told us that when she got back from the hairdresser
Alan looked at her and said "You look different!" - AT: "Yep!" - Alan: "New shoes?"
It was hilarious.

She also mentioned that when she took Olivia to Yoga class and introduced
herself to the teacher the teacher turned to Olivia and said "You look
exactly like your mum!"
Olivia was all smiles after that.

The charades were fun until I got forced into doing the last one by Amanda and Becky picked something hard for me to do!

I'm not sure how it saved her voice or energy as she was talking all the time trying to guess the question and was animated for the questions as well as her answers!
