Sam Carter/Amanda Tapping Discussion/Appreciation

When I went on a Sanctuary tour many years ago with some friends we brought gifts for various people including Amanda. Brought her a cake from a local place that dressed them up in fancy boxes (like hat boxes) and it came with a charm and flowers. The cake boxes all had names and the one we got Amanda was "Olivia". Amanda loved it. Amanda has mentioned to me a couple of times that the box is still in her house and Olivia uses it to hold her doll clothes. I think it was the last AT event that before she left home Amanda told Olivia she was coming to see the fans who gave her the box.

Another tidbit from Chicago:

Someone asked Amanda about going back to the stage. She talked about performing in the Vagina Monologues in Toronto and how scared she was--but loved it. Amanda mentioned she and Robin have been discussing doing a play together.

Well, local to me, not necessarily local to you, but they ship everywhere.

Not for everyone nor for every occasion but a nice idea for a special occasion and/or a special person. You can spend a lot on flowers and they are dead within days. With this at least you get a charm and box as keepsakes. Besides, the box is perfect for holding doll clothes!

She mentioned how quickly "I hate Naomi" groups formed after her first appearance ( a first for her), how funny Misha Collins is and how she hopes there is more to come for her on that show. She also mentioned how the writers never told her if the character was good or bad which gave her freedom to play. She viewed the character as good or at least having good motives, someone who would do anything necessary, even kill, to protect heaven--kind of like a momma bear.

As part of my question about S4K I did ask Amanda if she could give us any hints about what items might turn up in the S4K online auction this fall (this is different from the one referred to above) She said she couldn't pass on any spoilers but did say with her recent packing she had come across some of her personal collection of items that may end up at auction including one of the original Teal'c forehead snake symbols. Then she realized she should have brought it with her to Chicago to have CJ sign it. d'oh!

And a little tidbit from Ben Browder's talk:

He got a story idea credit for Bays Guys--an episode in season 9 that Amanda wasn't in. However, when he pitched the idea to the writers, he pitched it as a Sam-centric episode. That (obviously) got lost in translation.

That's because it didn't involve Sam/laptop.
No offense to Ben, but I wasn't a big fan of that ep anyway so I'm not heartbroken...
