Heh visible echoes. At work when we get particularly smelly specimens through, I like to remind everyone that smell is particle based. If you can smell something, it's because particles have actually made it into your nose and landed on neurons there... The olfactory bulbs are actually part of the brain. So if you can smell faeces it means you practically have molecules of it touching your brain.

I'm sure they appreciate it. My coworkers put up with a lot.
