Sam Carter/Amanda Tapping Discussion/Appreciation

Hi Everyone,


When I met Amanda at AT2, I think I was able to utter about 3 words and I spent the entire 2 minuets I spent with her forcing myself not to cry, I didn't want Amanda (or anyone else) to think I was silly but I wish I had just cried and let Amanda see how much meet her meant to me...I wonder if it would be silly to cry meeting her for the second time, do some people still cry even when they've met Amanda before?

Well I met Amanda when I was 14, and it was all just a bit too overwhelming. At AT2, she remembered me from the previous year, and told me how proud she was of me, so I cried again..
Luckily I didn't cry at London Expo, so I'm hoping AT3 will be tearless, but I think that won't be easy.. lol

No and once again they didn't explain her absence - I swear Hammond was more present in early SG-1 than Sam is in Atlantis this season...

I didn't have a problem with her missing last night, other than the simple fact that she was missing and I prefer that she not be. Her not being there or referenced was more plausible to me for some reason, unlike Miller's Crossing and Mortal Coil.

Thanks for the info silkie & KatG. Glad I didn't miss Sam. I hope if Carter is in S5 on a similar basis (14 eps) that they *explain* her absence better. We ("demandas") are not the only ones commenting on it.

seriously, however, the way spoils was paced, sam woulda just been in there for a 30 second scene. and, if they'd have done that

they probably woulda cut the teyla/lorne scene or a shep/teyla scene, and i'd rather have those
