I wonder what happened to him? He used to call me "rabbit features" which I thought was awesomely ironic considering his flappy ears and buck teeth.

Having to spend each day the color of the leaves
When I think it could be nicer being red or yellow or gold

Speaking of sesame street and trying to stay on topic.

Last year at the AT2 cocktail party, Amanda told our table a cute little story about Olivia and Elmo and she even sang a few bars about Elmo. I think next year we should get her to sing It's Not Easy Being Green or the Rainbow Connection. She's gotta know them by now, right? That or something from Blue's Clues.

Maybe the planet song. I always liked that one.

Well the Sun's a hot star,
Mercury's hot, too.
Venus is the brightest planet,
and Earth's home to me and you.
Mars is the red one,
and Jupiter's most wide.
Saturn's got those icy rings,
and Uranus spins on it's side.
Neptune's really windy,
and Pluto's really small.

Well we wanted to name the planets,
and now we've named them all.

Oh, and to return to the thread, I'm not buying S9 nor S10. My collection ends at S8 ... sigh.

Season 10 is greatly improved on season 9, but that is not saying a lot, sadly. Most of the show at that point just isn't good enough for repeat viewings, which is my criterion for buying DVDs. It's nothing to do with the cast changes, it's the calibre of the story-telling.

LOL - Okay I did a double take when I saw that picture tonight - those are the same frames as my new glasses.

I have no idea what that song sounds like but isn't it funny how when you have kids you can't say the name of a song in the top 20 on the radio but you can belt out a song from the Wiggles or Hi Five...and Sesame Street is so cool...I love Elmo...he and Zoe are my two favourite monsters...and Barkley the dog!! The only song I know from Elmo is...

Ok...so my kids are too old to watch Sesame Street but I still watch it now and then...*when nobody's watching*...and sometimes I put on Hi Five or The Wiggles and listen to them...it reminds me of when the kids were little...and Barney the dinosaur...he's so cool!!

Aah! Dilating eyedrops. Unfortunately I'm far too familiar with them, and if Amanda did have them in, she wouldn't have been able to move around much especially for the action shots because of the glare and excess light getting into the eye.

If she does wear glasses or possible contacts, it is possible to naturally have large pupils, one of my friends is quite appallingly shortsighted and her pupils when she's not wearing her contacts are impressively large even in normal light.

I have large pupils and was until last september very short sighted. I have had the laser treatment, but my pupils are still big. I once showed some kids how the iris of your eye shrinks under the lights in rather dramatic fashion. All you have to do is close your eyes and cover them up. make sure no residual light is getting in. This dilates your pupils. When you open them keep yourself in the shad/ as dark as possible, then they will stay fairly dilated. To make them shrink ( for the wow factor with the kiddies) look at a light and they shrink.

I guess it would just take a little timing, making sure her eyes were shileded untilthe last possible minute and the shot could be achieved.

Drops are an option and having had numerous incidences of those rotten things, they do blur the vision to a point where i used to be better off without my glasses, as my poor eyes tried to re-focus.

Of course fixing it in post is also an option. )

definitely partial to the short hair on her - long is okay but the short really is quite falttering, imo.
