I find anything shippy in regards to mini Jack and Cassie really icky. While his body may be that of a young man, he's got the experiences, memories, and relationships of a 40+ year old man, one who has been married and divorced, and lost a son and all the trauma that goes with that. I would never put those two together. And I even think mini-Jack would find it icky, since he's been something of a surrogate father to Cassie since she came to earth.

Yep, definitely! It's just one big world of "no" in my book! *Anyone* but that! Although I think it would be funny if Cassie didn't know and met him and developed a crush and Jack was like "oh cr*p, argh!" like Matthew Perry/Zac Efron's character in "17 Again" when he reverts back to his 17 year old self and his daughter hits on him.

Yes, it's quite a bit of an age difference, but at a similar age difference I'd rather see Hammond and Frasier. Although, regs get in the way of that relationship also. The Janet being Sam's step-mom thing kinda weirds me out.

I believe it is mentioned on several occasions that his wife passed away. I can't be 100% sure though.

I always wonder, does Daniel/Janet count as fanon or is it classed as canon because both MS and TR have confirmed that they intentionally played it that way in a few episodes? It's an unresolved ship but, then again, unless you count the "Trio" missing scene, technically so is Sam/Jack and that's DEFINITELY a canon ship!

Sam tells Keller she's dating Jack!!!! But they deleted it because the ep was too long! There's a youtube vid where the writers are talking about the Atlantis episode Trio and one of the writers says "We used it as a housekeeping episode. For one thing, and it's more of a franchise big thing, Carter admits she's in a relationship with O'Neill..." I kinda stopped listening after that, I was too shocked and was squeeing aloud in my head! Basically, Keller and Sam are stuck somewhere and Sam's awkwardly trying to make small talk. She asks Keller if she's seeing anyone and Keller flips the question back on her. She hesitates and Keller's like "Uh huh, thought so, spill!" so she kinda backtracks saying it's complicated, he's in Washington, she's here but he's retiring soon so maybe... Keller puts her foot in it by saying "older man, huh?" and Sam clearly doesn't like the implication that he's an old guy (LMAO!) and she clams up when Keller tries to guess who it is and awkwardly replies with "probably not" when Keller asks if she would know him - by the look on Sam's face, she's totally busted lol)

On the audio commentary for the ep, AT and (I think) Martin Wood are giggling at that point and Martin keeps dropping the word "General" into the sentence and Amanda is all like "oooh I wonder who Sam's fella is?" and stops Martin from saying Jack's name outright but they're both majorly hinting at it

I also love the vid of AT at the con where they'd been joking about how she has to be careful what she says coz there's this thing called the Interwebz and stuff she says ends up on youtube now. The next question a girl in the front row asks her if Jack and Sam were real what would they be doing right now? AT grins and waggles her eyebrows a bit and says "Oh at the cabin, he'd be on the dock and I'd be fixing up some martinis, watching the sunset, having a little chit-chat. Then we'd go into the cabin and, you know... stuff!" Then she starts fanning herself and blushing as the audience whoop and wolf-whistle and she's all "Did it just get hot in here?" Then the girl yells "Well *that's* going on youtube!" LMAO!

Yeah it depends what you consider canon. I interpret it very loosely. For me, writer confirmation and a deleted scene is enough but I get that true canon has to be on-screen. And, to think, the only main character ship that truly became canon and was resolved was Daniel/Vala. *sigh* Oh well, there have been more annoying ships in other shows (Buffy/Riley springs to mind, god he was a wet blanket!)

I'm a die-hard S/J-er (obvs!) but I did *almost* want to see Sam/Ba'al when I was in a crackfic! mood lol. You know, in a Buffy/Spike "I'm gonna tear the building down around us because I hate you so much" kinda way. Sam punching Ba'al was kinda hot in a weird way lol!

I've always loved Daniel/Janet, and love the little moments they had... I guess you could say. But I don't consider it canon -- besides, I'd rather prefer it that way. Not exactly a PTW strong point.

Then again -- I'm probably more into rare pairings than I am in the big ones.

And I hate S/J with a vengeance. I should just throw it out there - shouldn't you know yet.

I don't think it's that rare. In fact it's probably closer to canon than Daniel/Janet since one half of the S/M/L pairing admitted love for the other.
