I think whether or not AT returns for Season 9 will depend largely on how well her pregnancy goes. Remember Gillian Anderson she only missed one episode and was back to work after that. They lead a different life than most of the rest of us and considering she is on a very popular show that seems to be growing, I'm thinking she will be back soon, again if all goes well.

Oh, we thought Sacrifices was shippy too! I LOVED the look on both their faces when they realized where Jack's hands were. Can we say over-compensation!? (no really, can we?) And then Sam forcing Jack to turn around when she caught him checking out the Jaffa chicks. *jealousy!* But I have to say I was *extremely* happy that they didn't address Sam's engagement (lets me pretend it doesn't exist... like PS)

LOL! I am so glad to see that you are finally explaining your picture choices. And doing such a fine job of it.

To be honest, I just stare at the pictures and rarely bother with the words anyway. Your pictures always go straight from my brain to my heart. Seeing Jack and Sam together just makes me all warm and fuzzy.

If theshow finishes just now, we should be happy for the good years we've had. Season seven and eight have been going downhill, and we want SG1 to go out with a bang not a whimper.

I think there may be a season nine. AT herself says that she's in denial about saying goodbye, so she may want to come back.

I'm wondering about that too now. There's too many missing pieces for us to really understand things (missing because we're not told). But now that we know Amanda's expecting ((((((((((AMANDA!!! ))))))))))))... It could be squeezing in as much AT time before she starts really showing, or altering things in the script or story because of whatever reasons, or a combo of both. You know, you'd think the writers would go over their decision making ideas with me before they do anything.



I think it was Joe that said (not his own words) that even if they tied up all their loose ends this season, they could still come up with new stories. I really don't know what to think. Again, what's with the ptb not talking to me!

My fear is the S/J relationship wouldn't even factor into the baby issue. I don't have a knee jerk reaction to things anymore; I have a knee rammed into my face. Chimera broke my heart. Affinity broke my spirit. And faith. And the innocence of watching without fear.

Sally you absolutely hit the nail on the head or should we say the shipper on the head when you said that you can't watch anymore with feeling fear. I think you are right.

Whenever I watch a new ep I feel like I want to watch it through my fingers with my hands in front of my face, just in case!!! That's no way to watch a favorite show.

TPTB have done this to us and it wasn't right.

We were one time all trusting, hopeful, optimistic shippers and look what we've been reduced to. Tieing penguins onto rockets, living in our own town, isolated from the world, drinking MG's beverages and eating Shipper Cookies. Not to mention the shipper commune rehab center and the gutter.

I've just been pondering this whole ship matter and I've come to a Threads-sorta-spoilery conclusion:

Spoiler:

The fact that Pete buys the house without consulting Sam is darned inconsiderate. The fact that Sam is upset is clear that something's wrong between her and Pete. The fact that she feels the need to speak to Jack shows that she's still in love with him. The fact that Jack is with Kerry (although temporary) is a sign that Jack is still in love with Sam, which is why he's trying to distract himself during her engagement to Pete. Furthermore, the fact that Jack and Kerry are going to break up is a sign that things are moving in the proper direction. When Sam is all stressed about Jacob's condition, she will come to know that between Pete and Jack, the only man who can understand what she's going through, the only man who can be there to listen to her spill all the details if need be, the only person who's been there for her for 8 years now is none other than Jack O'Neill. And then she should come to understand that the camaraderie, caring, and even more--LOVE is still there between them. And things will change.

And the Sam/Jack shippers will win! There's my optimistic forecast and justification for why.
