actually, i think a kiss would have been out of place at that point. they were both in mourning, she was seriously upset, and probably feeling a lot guilty that she was relieved jack had lived, but her best friend had died. i think all she needed at that point was a hug, a kiss would have been too complicated, opened up too any issues.

now death knell..definitly should have been a kiss at the end of that hug

Hi everyone! Been a long time since I've written...but I've been lurking.

My computer took a header so I've lost all of my favorites. I've been frantically trying to find all my favorite fanfics. Thankfully most of the stories I had saved were from you guys anyway so I am just scrolling through looking for links! And most importantly, all of Caty and Marimba's vids were on a different drive. I would have just died if I had lost them!!

I'm anxiously awaiting my shipper cookie travel mug and shipper town mouse pad. I had to restrain myself from buying more for the time being.

I read this lovely little fic of yours a few weeks ago---really, it's just lovely. While we have trouble 'seeing' Jack as conventionally romantic, this scenario had the right feel, vibe, groove to it.

Scene: Sam's Lab
Jack walks in to find Sam working alone at her bench.
Jack: "Hey, how come you're not downstairs with the rest of the eggheads? Not that you're...an egghead..."
Sam looks at him.
Jack: "Well, you are...actually...but in a good way."

Sam: " I couldn't think down there...they all kept looking at me for the answer."
Jack: "Well, you do have a penchant for pulling brilliant ideas out of your butt."
Sam gives him a more incredulous look.
Jack: "Head...out of your head...when we need them."
Sam: "Not this time."
Jack: "Well, you still got two days to work on it."
Sam: " Sir, I don't think I could solve this if I had a couple of years."
Jack: "Carter, am I sensing fear in your voice?"
Sam: "Yes, actually, a lot of fear."
Jack: "Well, stop it. You're making me nervous."
Sam: "What about you, sir? Any ideas? I mean, sometimes you have a way of seeing things at...at their simplest."

Jack: "Thank you...I'm gonna go eat some cake."
Jack turns to leave.
Sam: "I think I'll join you."
Sam gets up to follow him and alarms start going off.
Sam and Jack race to the gateroom.

*sigh* I do love Redemption! I watched again for the first time in a long time several weeks ago and have since watched it several times--lots of ship in that one!

i also heard, not on that programme, but somewhere else, that touching someone's face during a kiss can be a sign of true respect and love, becasue, instead of going for a sexual touch, they're touching a very intimate, senstive part of a person, and the part of that person that reveals feelings and emotions. that's why

Dialogue A:
Sam: Com'n Jack, I'm serious! Would you please move that bottle?
Jack: Bottle? Why, what bottle could you possibly be referring to?
Sam: You know what bottle I'm talking about.
Jack(grinning): Uh no, I don't. Can you show me?
*Sam flushes, shakes head & stares at floor.*
Jack(chuckling softly, reaches out to take Sam's hand): "Sam... C'mere..."

Dialogue B:
Sam: What's up Jack?
Jack: Uhhhh......
Sam: Jack???
Jack: Somethin'....
Sam: So you wanna talk about 'somethin?'
Jack: No. Don't wanna talk.
Sam(sits down next to Jack): Alrighteee then...

Jack(leans forward & clinks beer bottles w/Sam & whispers in her ear): How about we compare some *war* wounds?
**Sam whips her head around to see Jack pushing pants down to show her a big abdominal scar and mouth drops open...**

Well, I guess that explains why I don't like him! My ex was a Scorpio rising, it's like oil and water for me (I'm a Capricorn, December 26th)...

There sure is...I just saw it again last week (in my quest to finish S6 before October) and I truly liked his total confidence in Sam, that she would solve the problem and save the world yet again. He never loses faith in her abilities...to me that's one of the many reasons

the ring scene in Assinity was a heartbreaker....up to this point, Jack probably was holding onto hope that the Sam/ relationship was just a slight distraction for Sam. Still say Sam hit her head REALLY hard in Grace. I mean, come ON, what woman in her right mind would pass up the sexy, wounded face that was Jack's in that episode??????
