My list is mostly for very shallow reasons!! My top 4 are even tattooed on my arm!!

1. Dr Rodney McKay - I just love his Snarcasm!! He is wonderfully abrasive and sexy!
2. Dr Carson Beckett - Gorgeous blue eyes, Dimples, Scottish Brogue... I melt into a puddle every time. Wish he was my Doctor!
3. Dr Daniel Jackson - Before Atlantis, he was my number 1 but has now slipped to 3rd. Gorgeous, now Buff!!, Smart and the reason there is a working Stargate program now.
4. Gen Jack O'Neill - His one-liners are classic! Loyal, skilled and not as stupid as he makes out. Never want to be on his bad side!
5. Heru'ur - Just because Douglas H Arthurs is so gorgeous!! Purely shallow reasons.
6. Baal - Same reason as above... Cliff Simon is gorgeous!
7. Dr Radek Zelenka - Very funny, smart scientist. Love his interaction with Rodney!
8. Young Ernest Littlefield - Played by Paul McGillion so enough said!!
9. Walter Harriman - Without him the SGC would fall apart!
10. Siler - Same reason as for Walter!
11. Teal'c - Those eyebrows just speak volumes. He's hilarious without having to say a word.
12. Thor - Funny guy and the byplay between him and O'Neill was classic.
13. Skaara - Just a little cutie!
14. Sgt Stackhouse - Purely shallow reasons... He's cute!
15. Lou Ferretti - I have a fondness for him because he is one of the originals. Even though he initially led the hassling of Daniel, he became a staunch supporter.
16. Melburn Jackson - Shallow reasons again, not only is the actor cute, but the Character produced Daniel... Just have to love him for that!!
17. Ronon Dex - Purely for the eye candy perspective! Also because I have a thing for leather!
18. Simon Coombs - John Billingsley is a legend and a wonderfully nice man so I tend to like most of his characters!

There are probably more, but without watching the eps again right now I can't think of them off the top of my head.

Wow !! great response to this thread. I calculated results earleir then I planned to because the response was so good.

The results were very interesting. Dr. Zelenka made the top 5. Cameron Mitchell made the top 10 by the skin of his teeth. Jack is #1, but not by much. I am very suprised --I thought Daniel Jackson would be #1 or 2 for sure.

My Top 25 Men

1. Lt Col John Sheppard... Need I say more... Flawed, gorgeous, enigmatic and yet sad. Open him up and he is a morass of contradictions. His concern for those around him compels him to push the boundaries.

2. Rodney McKay... Rude, irascible, brilliant yet insecure. Like an annoying younger brother who's handy to have around when something breaks down.

3. Jack O'Neill... The Original Man... MacGyver reinvented. The reason why I watched Stargate in the first place.

4. Daniel Jackson... before he died and ascended the first time. I miss his idealism and his intensity in the pursuit of knowledge.

5. Jonas... I miss his enthusiasm. A breath of fresh air in Season 6.

6. Agent Barrett... Not enough of him, I fear... A mix of earnestness and resourcefulness

7. Maj Davies... Also not enough of him...

8. Gen. Hammond... Wise, decisive and understanding

9. Zelenka... Finally... a non-English speaking character! Quite adorable.
