I posted this on the S/J thread cause we're discussing Scorched Earth this week and a little birdy told me y'all might be interested here:

This is one of those moments that makes SG-1 so wonderful. It was bright on the planet because of the special radiation the natives needed.
So Daniel needed to wear clip on sunglasses. Only he beamed from the planet to the ship where he didn't need to wear the clip-ons, but he still needed to wear his glasses. Which gives us this wondeful little bit of realism here: Just a pause to remove your clip-ons before talking to the advanced robotic life form about not lettings it's world tranforming space ship destroy the aliens colonizing an alien planet.... The everyday in the midst of the extraordinary. /sap
