There's a woman in his bedroom. She's lounging on the bed, all legs and toothy grin, and he's reaching for his gun before she can blink.

"Why must you always start like this." She sighs, not seeming at all inclined to move or to explain herself.

"Who are you?"

"I'm the woman of your dreams, Mitchell." She smirks.

"Who. Are. You." He says.

She sighs again, and says the next sentence all in one breath, like she's bored to tears. "My name is Vala Mal Doran and I'm not from this world and I came through a big shiny thing called a stargate and it was made by a race of aliens called the Ancients that lets you travel to other planets and also once in a while through time and I'm here to save your life."
