Well, let me tell you my tale. I always liked Martouf...thought he was just the sweetest individual. I am a Sam/Jack shipper, so I never wanted them (Sam/Martouf) together really, although now, looking back on it, I wouldn't mind it. They were cute together.
When I saw Divide and Conquer I was torn between the shippiness between Sam and Jack and the horrible way Martouf died. *wibble* It was so sad! I wuvved him so much.
When I went to my first convention (Burbank Creation Con, 2006) I was excited, and I was looking for days for a picture to print out for JR's autograph. I found a few good ones and eventually got the one I wanted. After that, I had JR on the brain. And I was nothing but nerves in the autograph line. And when I came around the corner and he smiled, I swear I almost fainted. GAH! He is so adorable. And that VOICE. And the EYES! He let me take a pic of him in line:

I've adored him ever since, and made sure to get his movies and check those out. I've liked them all.
And the funniest thing happened at the photo op. He was texting his girlfriend (didn't know it was his girlfriend at the time, but that really has nothing to do with anything...LOL) right before I went to pose with him, and as I walked up I teased him about it. And he said it was silly, he should just call her because she was only going to text back. And as we got ready for the photo the cell started vibrating in his right pocket, against my side, and he said "SEE?" and then we both laughed and the pic was taken. It was hilarious.

I went to see him when he stepped into a role in Mental: The Musical in Santa Monica last year and OMG his singing voice! *flails* I have pics online at the website.
