    Lockdown

Did O'Neill lie when he announced to the base that the President authorized him to maintain the lockdown indefinitely, when only a minute prior he told Teal'C that he only had 24 hrs?

Pretty much, yes. He wanted to flush out whoever or whatever was causing the problems, so he tricked him/it into thinking it had more time.

Furthermore, how did Anubis escape the ice planet Carter sent him to. The body he was in froze to death, and the only way he could've gotten off was as an ascended being which would alerted the others. Did the others allow him to leave?

Maybe once that body died, he floated around as energy till he took over a passer by..

but wouldn't that "passerby" freeze to death to?

Not if he flew close in with a cargo ship.

you're assuming another person flew in in a cargo ship. if that's the case then Anubis could've just flown away. either that, or Daniel was wrong when assumed that flying away from Earth as energy would've alerted the other Ancients

Part of the story arc implies that no one knows how Anubis escaped. Maybe someone else crashed there and was subsequently rescued. Maybe once he was disembodied, Anubis could travel high enough into the atmosphere to glom onto a passing ship. Maybe an advanced race had an observation satellite on the planet, and Anubis attached himself to that, then the race collected it and its passenger later.

You can make up anything you like, since the PTB never said.

When Anubis's fleet was destroyed in orbit over earth his energy was just floating in orbit. Why didn't he just hitch a ride on comet and fly out of our solar system?

Or better yet, hijack the Humble and use it's engines to enter deep space and send a distress call to his warriors?

Because that would literally take millions of years

They only thing he really needed to was get far enough away to find a ship to hijack

There'd have to be a ship passing by in the Solar System for it not to take millions of years though.

We live in the boring part of the galaxy. There would be no ship passing through. And why take the million-year option with no backups and alternatives, when you're an immortal energy being that can take over people and have an entire planet filled with options (including a Stargate)?
