I'D rather this than something like in the Disney Pocahontas movie which I had the misfortune of watching recently...
Smith (after meeting her for the VERY first time): We say Hello
Pocahontas: We say 'Wingapo' which means hello, or 'Wingape' which means goodbye.
UGH! Does anyone else have a problem with that? At least Stargate wasnt like that! lol
Yeah. Agreeing to ignore something that serves no purpose other than to slow down the plot is a good move. I don't need a theoretical explanation of the Transporter every time Mr. Scott uses it, and I don't need a longwinded sequence of people learning new languages every week.
