decyphering the complete ancient database within a thousand years is fanwank... the asgard had it for thousands of years, and only understood a fraction. and don't tell us carter and mckay are better than half the asgard population...

mckay couldve came up with a program that would translate ancient into english.
anyway mckay is practically the smartest non-ancended being, if he cant do it in 23 years it aint happening.

they could've split the database in to smaller sections that would be translated faster than doing it all at once.

and estimations are usually always wrong in the stargate universe.

its better, but i think it still should be in a flag like something, in which at the top corner each nation could put its own flag to indicate what part of the world you are from.

This isnt an emblem for seperate nations. It represents Earth as a whole. It was intended to be for a United earth Government like i said. Plus there is no way on this planet i am going to modle every countrys flag into that. I have things i need to do....Like sleep

i know you wont use all flags, but 1 or 2 in the top corner would make it obvious, and i think NO country would give up all of its own rights in the coming 100 years i think, so as a united earth, it'll be like the EU is now i think. Not much more.

You never know what could happen. An extremely devistating war along with cripling economic failure and over population coupled with a lack of resources could very well leed to a Unified Earth.
