Okay here's another cruddy paint ship. This one's a redo of my redo of AJT's abydos class destroyer. It doesn't look like the original at all. Any suggestions for this ship?

Historical and Technical Notes

Designed and built by the Rogue NID faction known as “The Trust” it incorporates many weapons and design specs that the design team for the 301's, 302's, 303's, and 304's did not have access too. It was seized three days prior to its planned launch by sections of the Department for Home-world Defense as well as the NID. The technology that was gained by its discovery, while not a match for the Ori’s fleet, is a serious step in the right direction. It was deployed at first with General Jack O’Neill commanding. But he quickly decided that commanding a starship wasn’t for him (after he had to tell his crew to raise shields during a Lucian Alliance bombardment).
Its new commander is Lieutenant Colonel Marcie Emerson, an experienced pilot and very well versed in three dimensional tactics (at least as far as earth commanders are). It has fought numerous engagements with the minor threats our galaxy has but is mainly used in a support role for our deep space carriers.



***It is situated near the front of the ship and is used to accumulate and store energy because of the massive energy requirements the Linear Beam Cannon has.

Then there is my updated comparison picture of most of my capitol ships to date. It got shrunk a little bit due to it's size though.

If you want to model this is the program to use if your a beginer, its really cool. not great models but i cna do that in a few hours after getting the program, the tools and program are easy to pick up unlike other programs like blender.

I think it looks cool. But like you said, the textures are kinda weird. I usually just use standard colors.

Geomancer Class

Ion drive for sub light speed provides speeds of 75% of ftl travel

Power is provided by a hybrid of asguard tech and mark 4 naquadah generator

Weaponry consists of Excalibur defensive weapon platforms, these consist of 19, each platform contains 6 fixed ion cannons built from some of the teach stolen from the tollans, combined with some of the teach from the salvaged asguard vessels.

The main weapons which has a operating distance of almost 700 000 km, is the plasma cannon designed from a prototype discovered when the sas found smaller prototype of anubis mothership.

The geomancer is the flagship of the raf space fleet the first ship of the class was completed off world in the cheleena system consisting of 4 inhabited worlds, the people were in a state of poverty and a state of co existence was achieved whereby we provided food and they worked for us. The first ship was completed late 2008, with 3 in production and 10 to be built. It is a battleship and its aim is to stand a far from battle releasing its Vulcan fighters and to provide covering fire to smaller ships, it can also act as a survey ship, and is essentially a off world base. With a crew compiment of 125 pilots with 300 associated crew, plus 300 associated with cargo and bomber ships. Can house 2 brigades plus special ops, and 4500 flight crew .

Dreadnought class

Using ftl tech salvaged from destroyed asguard vessels without their knowledge the raf used it to create intergalactic warp with a speed about half that of the geomancer class. While not possessing the ftl speed of the geomancer the dreadnought has 8 sub light ion drives with 16 manoeuvring thrusters offering unparalleled measurability . Sub light speeds of almost 89% of ftl travel have been achieved in testing.

Power is provided by a hybrid of asguard tech and mark 3 naquadah generator, it also has 5 mark 3 generators held in revserve.

Asguard sensors, sensors can be combined with those of Atlantis.

4 cargo bays, bays 1 and 2 house Vulcan fighters, bay 3 houses hurricane transports, and bay 4 houses 1 admiralty ship.

Weaponry consists of Excalibur defensive weapon platforms, these consist of 4, each platform contains 6 fixed ion cannons built from some of the teach stolen from the tollans, combined with some of the teach from the salvaged asguard vessels.

Main offensive is vls launcher on top, which contains automated loading mark IX gate busters, can be outfitted into a another defence platform.

With the US operating the DSC B304, the RAF decided to build their own ship from scratch with a little help form the tollan and asguard, lol, this ship operates mainly in packs similar to the way the raptors operate, they designed to take on the ori, unlike the geomancer which is multi purpose, the design was purposed for taking the ori on. The narrow front provides good defence with the rim heavily shielded, the weapons have been proved on several occasions in the last year to severely deplete ori ships, of which 3 have been destroyed, giving a kill ratio of 0 to 3 for the class.
The ships are also built in the cheleena system on separate planets to the geomancer. Currently 3 are ins service with 8 in production, 5 in shakedown and a planned production of a total of 40

Raptor Class

100m radius
30m height

Uses the older ftl tech that was originally shared with us from the asguard, however uses the more advanced ion drives similar to the dreadnoughts, with sub light speeds of almost 89% of ftl travel. Possess 8 manuvering thrusters.

Power is provided by 3 mark 3 naquadah generators.

2 cargo bays each housing 1 hurricane transport

Weapons are sceptre platforms which are smaller ion cannons with less power but are considered more accurate.

The raptors are consigned 4 to each geomancer, there are however 7 operating for special forces insertions, 19 are currently operational, 12 for the more ready geomancers, a furthers 52 are to be built, they are currently being built on earth at a torchwood institute in north Wales, where many other ships are built. They are crewed by a small team of 20, allowing more room for special forces.

Falcon Class

Uses the prototype annular ftl drive offering similar speeds to the geomancer class, 6 ion drive sub light engines provides quick less than light speeds.

Uses 3 mark 4 naquadah generators

One small cargo bay allowing loading of weaponry.

Weaponry consists of 8 vls nuke launchers containing old slbm from the sub fleet, 2 small plasma turrets, and 14 ion cannons, the weapons are more powerful than the admir class, as well as more frontal weapons, it has a rear defence weapon that covers the rear but also covers port and starboard.

It is heavily shielded as the falcons accompany the Vulcans on raids of ships and other enemy installations, heavily armed several of these can take down a hatak, while clearly slower that the admir class, they are quick and agile but without an escort are easy prey to fighters.
Crewed by min of 2, for max performance a crew of 5 is preferred. Production of these is proportioned to about 3 per wing of Vulcans , currently there are 7 operational and 3 under construction, the raf are undecided whether to continue, it depends on their performance against the wraith and the ori. These are also built at north Wales due ti its high tech .

Admiralty Class

Uses the prototype annular ftl drive offering similar speeds to the geomancer class, 6 ion drive sub light engines provides quick less than light speeds.

One small cargo bay containing a small ground transport vehicle.

Weaponry consists of 4 vls nuke launchers containing old slbm from the sub fleet, 2 small plasma turrents, and 4 ion cannons, the weapons are lightly powered but very accurate.

This ship is the most advanced in the fleet comprising of all the most advanced tech, while very advanced it is vulnerable to larger ships, especially it is a luxury ship and messenger ship designed for transport of high ranking members of the raf. Production will be limited in the near future to possibly 10 per year, currently there is 5 in use and 7 under production, they are unlikely to largely produced. Can be crewed by just 1. These are also built at north Wales due ti its high tech .
