Amazon is editing Stargate episodes!!!

I started watching SG1, S01E01 tonight on Prime - and I almost immediately noticed that something seemed off. Lines of dialogue I remembered from my childhood were missing, musical score seemed slightly different...

I thought I was crazy so I started watching the Amazon version in parallel with the real version - and it's true.

Amazon is editing out lines of dialogue, rearranging and sometimes deleting scenes, they are altering musical scores, everything!

Needless to say, I find this incredibly disturbing. There needs to be public pushback against this. This show is my childhood!

Are you sure they weren't showing the "director's cut"?

For example the full frontal nudity scene was edited out, the line about the reproductive organs was changed, and a few other items.

For the record: I've never watched the director's cut as I find it an offense to the original.

I noticed a while ago when watching "The Fifth Race" that one of the Asgard voices was altered.
