Ascension

[Orlin dives forward and Reynolds opens fire, but he manages to disconnect the cables to the device in a shower of sparks.]

[The device begins to lose power and goes dead.]

[Carter rushes over to Orlin, who has been shot several times.]

ORLIN
I can't believe how much this hurts.
CARTER
Just hang on.
REYNOLDS
Major, we got to get out of here.
CARTER
We can dial out. We can't risk the blast translating through the wormhole.
ORLIN
I have to go, Sam.
(He touches her face)
They've given me another chance. It's the only way I can save you.
[He starts to glow and the hand touching her face slips away into the light as he moves away from her. He passes over the naquada reactor, to the shock of Colonel Reynolds, and takes it high into the sky where it explodes in a massive blast. The others all duck as a lightning bolt shoots down and destroys the device for good. Carter slowly raises herself to look up at the sky through the gap in the cavern and see clouds begin to clear.]

Between Two Fires

INT—SGC BRIEFING ROOM

HAMMOND
(Looking out the window to the Gate)
So, we can reasonably assume the Goa'uld did not get any of these weapons.
O'NEILL
We can only hope.
HAMMOND
What about these new shields?
TEAL'C
The Goa'uld do not share technology.
CARTER
Well, whoever Tanith is now working for, these new shields give him a decided advantage.
HAMMOND
Teal'c? Any guesses who it might be?
TEAL'C
None, General Hammond.
HAMMOND
I suppose we have to rest assured that who ever it is, they are still afraid of confronting the Asgard or they would have attacked Earth themselves.
DANIEL
For now.
DAVIS
(Over intercom)
Incoming communication!
[Hammond leads the way down to the control room.]

DAVIS
We're getting a direct transmission from a Tollan long range communication device.
NARIM
(Garbled transmission over tannoy)
…To get the people out. The Stargate was destroyed…
CARTER
Narim.
NARIM
All defenses failing…our ships attempting to escape are being shot down…I just want you to know that…
[The transmission dies into static.]

DAVIS
I'm sorry, Sir. That's it. The transmission just died.
[Carter looks away with tears in her eyes.]

2001

INT—SGC GATE ROOM

[Carter flies through the Gate onto the ramp, ending up on the steps.]

CARTER
Close the iris!
[The iris closes. There is a thud. A medic runs up to Carter as Kinsey enters.]

KINSEY
(To O'Neill)
What in God's name is going on here?
CARTER
(Still lying on the ramp)
When they knew we were on to them, they launched a bio-weapon.
KINSEY
(To O'Neill)
Colonel!
CARTER
I had to warn you, I couldn't wait for the ambassador. I'm sorry, Sir.
KINSEY
Colonel—I asked you a question.
O'NEILL
(To Carter)
You did good, Major.
CARTER
Thank you, Sir.
HAMMOND
Let's get her to the infirmary now.
KINSEY
Colonel. I swear, O'Neill. There's gonna be an investigation into this.
[He leaves.]

O'NEILL
That'd be fine. O'Neill—Two Ls
[He holds up three fingers.]

DANIEL
I guess we dodged the bullet there?
TEAL'C
Senator Kinsey seems most displeased.
O'NEILL
Yeah, that's a crying shame, isn't it?
DANIEL
I just hope we don't regret giving them those Gate addresses.
O'NEILL
I don't think we will, the first one being a black hole and all. They get progressively darker from there.
(To Carter, being tended to on the ramp)
Carter? You all right?
[Carter nods.]

Menace

INT—GATE ROOM

DANIEL
You stupid sonova*****.
O'NEILL
Hey. You're welcome.
DANIEL
You didn't have to shoot her.
O'NEILL
Yes I did.
DANIEL
She was shutting them down.
O'NEILL
I had no way of knowing that and neither did you.
DANIEL
They didn't stop because you shot her. They stopped because she told them to.
O'NEILL
Carter said she was losing control. Now if just one of those damn things got out of this base, developed its own personality, we would be royally screwed.
DANIEL
You just killed the only chance we'll ever have of stopping them.
O'NEILL
Look, I'm sorry. But this is the way it had to go down and you know it.
O'NEILL
(Into radio)
All units, this is SG One Niner, commence sweep. I want every one of those damn things out of here.
[He leaves the Gate room, leaving Daniel sitting on the floor beside Reece.]

Meridian

DREAM SEQUENCE

INT—DREAM GATE ROOM

DANIEL
I'm gonna miss you guys.
O'NEILL
Yeah, you too.
DANIEL
Thank you. For everything.
O'NEILL
So, what? See you around?
DANIEL
I don't know.
[Daniel turns and walks up the ramp.]

O'NEILL
Hey… where are you going?
DANIEL
I don't know.
[Daniel walks through the Gate and disappears as O'Neill watches.]

END DREAM SEQUENCE

INT—SGC INFIRMARY

[Daniel ascends through the ceiling, and we close on O'Neill's face.]

Revelations

INT—SGC CORRIDOR

[O'Neill and Teal'c walk down a corridor in casual clothes.]

O'NEILL
We're not that much of a nuisance just yet.
TEAL'C
Of that I am not so sure.
[They meet Carter and Hammond at the elevator.]

CARTER
Hey.
O'NEILL
Hey.
CARTER
Heading home?
O'NEILL
Actually, Teal'c and I were thinking of stopping off for a bite to eat. Interested?
CARTER
Sounds good.
O'NEILL
General?
HAMMOND
You three go ahead, I've still got some work to do.
[Suddenly Carter's hair is ruffled by a gust of wind. Teal'c also turns towards the breeze.]

CARTER
What was that?
[Hammond turns back to look at SG-1]

TEAL'C
Perhaps a malfunction in the ventilation system?
O'NEILL
Yeah, that's probably it.
CARTER
(to Hammond) Bye, sir, have a good night.
[Hammond walks off. Carter walks into the elevator and Teal'c follows. Another gust of wind ruffles O'Neill's hair and he turns into the elevator, smiling.]
