Scorched Earth is in my top five and Learning Curve in my top ten. What was so bad about Scorched Earth? That episode had a very different and interesting alien species; a different alien culture; a strong moral dilemma; tension, angst, insight, competing loyalties; strong acting; interesting resolution that kept options open for future episodes--what's not to like?
