There was a book or website a few years ago that took the "six degrees of separation for everyone on the planet" and tailored it more towards Kevin Bacon's professional roles. Yes, it could really be done for any actor, but because of Kevin Bacon's variety of roles in various movies, he was a good choice. Now the "6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon" has taken on a cult status and has been copied for a variety of actors and shows...like Stargate here. "Will and Grace" even riffed on it in an episode which costarred Kevin Bacon...as himself. Hee. And this was probably way more information than you wanted.
