Who are you talking to? Either way, it's pretty easy (of course, that's not to say there isn't quite a bit of skill involved in the nicer ones!) once you have a program like Photoshop and a fair understanding of it.

Wellllll... Photoshop is kind of an expensive program. I'm sure there are others out there, though; but I can't promise they're as good or any cheaper.

I actually got my Photoshop on Ebay for 10 bucks. It's 5.0LE, so it doesn't have all the features of the full versions, but for the financially challanged like myself, it's pretty good.

It didn't with mine! It came with Paint, but that's a whole different monster (although quite amusing in its own right).

I don't think so, Windows comes with Paint and Windows Photo Editor, but you can't do much with them.
I've read about another program, GIMP, that is free and very good, similar to photoshop, but I don't have it so I can't be sure. You can download it for free, so if I were you I would give it a try.

One of the best ways to find out what's availiable is truck on over to a computer software store and bug them with questions. A good store will have people who 1) Know what they're talking about, and 2) Won't mind answering any of your questions. My Photoshop isn't top of the line, but I knew what I wanted to be able to do, and the software guy found the version I needed. He saved me about $50!!
