I always looked at homosexuality as Natures version of Population control for humans.





But it doesn't. It might slow down reproduction or halt their bloodline from progressing (If they have no siblings and their the last in their line) but it does NOT remove the desire to procreate. I have Gay Friends who want kids. There are plenty of options open in this day and age. Adoption, Surrogates are two that come to mind immediately.

But in the case of the Ancients, who, as stated by Aerki, do not recognize marriage as an institution, but treat proceation as a necessity, adoption would not be in their best interest, as it would not "further" their species. So, to the Ancients, homosexuality would be a hindrance. Not to mention that people of the same sex cannot reproduce and, literally speaking, it is not natural for two beings to come together and not procreate (look at other animals). But its not a "childish" notion by any means. Maybe a moral issue, perhaps (genetic modifications and all).

Umm...the big ships carry them through hyperspace, then released them to chase the Traveler ship through the asteroids where the big ship wouldn't/couldn't go.

Stevenson never said anything about Marriage not existing to the Ancients. SHEPPARD did and we all know how he loves annoying Rodney.


At any rate, again. ANCIENTS. They do let's go with 97% of their procreation in labs. Propagation isn't restricted to females male pairings for them.

Two DNA donations from Male donors, randomized, can create a new being as well.


The new chapter was interesting, A bit of strain from two contacts would have added a little more tension encouraging a more involved read.

so far everything points to the mystery man being janus (knew of the tria) however what i dont get is how did he find out about the center? he is a Lantean; that kind of info was above top secret.

if you can time travel you can probably go to the time when it's not such a secret... oh and remember that he was one of the smartest lanteans + if daniel and a bunch of goa'uld new about 'clavetoreinfinatus'(or whatever) he probably new about it as well
...he should have seen that it's a gate loc.
...he wouldnt have been able to enter the pin code(at first), but he could traveled there via ship...

btw keep your mind open to possibilities - he could even have started the gate center... went back in time and acted as a regular guy
