People can and do get married fast. I don't find it unbelievable.

I won't deny I enjoyed seeing Jack/RDA being openly affectionate and relaxed in this episode (but would have prefered to see those kind of things saved for our ship, you know... much like Sam jumping Pete felt like they wasted their effort on the wrong character and pairing *cough*)... but I guess, as a shipper and knowing how vital his friends are supposed to be for him, it hurts seeing him ready to give them all up in just 3 months for a random alien woman. The baby thing was plain putting salt on a freshly made wound. I feel the same about a lot of tv shows once an outsider/minor character of the week tries to "steal" (big word, I know) a beloved main character from his friends (or worst of all, might be just there to potentially sink a ship you like and follow for years for all we know *I could point at Teyla's surprise baby and off screen lover in SGA, I don't/didn't follow the show but it was a nasty thing to do to John/Teyla shippers*).
If I'm not mistaken anyway, the only reason 100 Days didn't have a follow up was because many people hated it when the episode aired.
Talking about hurt feelings and broken hearts, I just read two pretty good fics :
Exile by sueKay04 : http://archiveofourown.org/works/105...full_work=true
The fic is an Atlantis/SG1 crossover. Set after the movies (Sam is commander of the Hammond already), like the Legacy books are. It's kind of SG program/alien disclosure/apocalypse fic involving the Wraiths.
Chapter 23 (last one published for now) happens to have a rare important S/J moment at the end and it felt brutal to me. Especially as it's "more or less" close to what the series and novels planned for our ship (forced physical distance for long periods of time because of their jobs... I didn't completely realized how sad their situation was until I read the Legacy books... I know it's a thing people with a military SO have to face, but it sure seems hard... and probably more so in S/J's case).
I want those two to be happy so badly but the universe and military just won't let them, even if they managed to

The author is pretty great. The fic is much like a Fandemonium novel, really. Maybe that's why I have a hard time distancing myself... and telling me, "ok, it's just a fic, calm your feels down". I wonder if the fic author ever wrote a Fandemonium novel or two, come to think about it.
Second fic is :
Subjective Point of View by AllisonChance : http://archiveofourown.org/works/310...full_work=true
It's basically Point of View but more detailed and with alternate Sam (and Jack) having a 13 years old daughter (meaning they've known each other years before they got into the program... and Sara is just a highschool girlfriend mentioned once in this story *multiverse and fanfic logic, anything can happen differently*).
I would agree with the author when she said the kid acts younger than her age. But the story seems touching (a bigger emotional punch than the actual TV episode I'd say).
Funny how it also goes with the heavy apocalypse mood of the first fic I talked about.
They're both unfinished but really well written and... painful enough to upset me for a few hours, ahah (oh well... I did ask for new good fic, did I). Who is following those fics ? What do you think of them ?
