I wouldn't swear to it, but I think it's "She's Gone" by Kimberly. In this one, Jack is a General; the team has returned from a mission, minus Sam, because she stayed behind to make sure everyone else escaped. In attempting to blow up a mothership, Sam was caught in the explosion, and then follows the rest of the story.
As I mentioned in my previous post, this isn't in the list on Kimberly's GW Fanfic page, but I have it saved and if anybody wants to read it they can PM me, and I'll send it to them. I also check samandjack.net and it isn't there. Not sure where else to look.
I love her fics, but can't stand reading the white on black. A few days ago, someone posted a link to a FF downloader you can use on a mac. Can anyone repost the link?

She has another site on ff.net, with the name of "kissherjack":

Anyone got any good 'The Other Side' post ep recommendations? I've found one or two but I'm after something meaty. Something where Sam isn't conveyed as being completely ignorant regarding Jack's past or one dimensional character wise.
