I read that just after it was written (actually I think it was one exception to my completed only fic rule). Great start, great end and lots of interesting stuff in the middle but there was a point where it kind of got a bit lost. Worth sticking with though and definitely worth a read.

Agreed. I enjoyed most of it but remember feeling disappointed in the end.

Hi Everybody.
I'm looking for a story I read a while ago. Jack was a general living in Washington. He started having problems, with his mind, and found out the Asgard failed to remove all of the ancient knowledge from his brain. He knew he was dying and moved off-world (maybe Edora?) without telling Sam. He wanted to live out his days quietly, spending his remaining days fishing. The team was told he retired and moved away. Sam somehow got the truth out of Landry and left Earth to join him. It had a happy ending, if I remember correctly.
I keep hitting onto a similar Jack/Daniel story but that's not it.
Help!
