First off, happy 21st S09!

Second off, solid episode. Good to see some fresh faces going into the new season. I look forward to how they will interact with the existing crew, particularly the need for food and water in the future. Obviously, if they are able to establish a connection they will bring tons of supplies with them, but that only lasts so long. prepare for the trip as if it is still one way.

But the last scene, I think its the kicker. really adds the angst to the whole chloe plot line.

I like the new character ideas, especially the Irish woman. Interpol, right? The line right at the end of her introduction mentioned something about Telford having conditions of his own. Any hints on what they might be?

yeah, she's with interpol. It'll be interesting to see what her role on the ship will be, I mean, shes something of a cross between a spy and a police detective. as such, is her job going to be to report on the crew and spy on them? I mean, if you could send her or a real surgeon, wouldn't you send a real surgeon instead? Obviously , one of the people they are going to send will prob be a doctor, but still....

Well my first thought on the 'new people' was "ONE OF THEM IS A SPY!!!"
so i await to be proven wrong.


(I must be watching far to much Deep Space Nine, Farscape, Stargate, Battlestar Galactica and Nikita. It making me very paranoid )

So I know Atlantis and Universe only have bits of a season, but I'm curious for those who read all the way back with SG-1; what was your favorite season, and why? Each was a bit differently written, different tones, etc., I'd like to see what people thought worked best.

I actually really like where you've been going with Universe. As episodes go, I think the every one has been superb. To me SG-1 died when Richard Dean Anderson left, and even though he made quite a number of guest appearances in your continuation, no SG-1 story ever really felt right without him. I guess that kind of ruins my judgement from a fairness standpoint. I don't have that problem with your Atlantis and Universe continuations though, and I've found both to be magnificent.

I'd probably go with season 13, the first one with the Der'kal. I don't think it was necessarily the best, but the episodes really stick with me even now. The "Rogues" two-parter with Ankgor, the start of the Pandora's Box hunt... and "The Time Traveler" is still one of my favorite of your episodes. I'd kill for a rewritten version to go more in depth.

I liked, I think it was season 15, just because of how bleak and dark it got. It really pushed the show. To be honest, SG-1 was always able to defeat the bad guys and win out against crazy odds and we all know how silly it got particularly towards the end there (of the real show). Atlantis got even worse. I really liked seeing the program go public, aliens attacking earth properly and the sort, people retreating and SG-1 having to really fight for it this time around.
