"And the 'replicator' has just entered Sir Killalot's corner and Killalot is...urm...wait a minute... Sir Killalot has just been eaten by the 'replicator' and now there's two of them..."
I know it's not funny. But I might get an extra goliday. Why be pessiistic?

It's not funny nor unfunny because as it stands, swine flu is pretty damn harmless if you're not a poor person in a third world country. This is an objective statement, not a damnation of poor people that happen to live in disadvantaged circumstances where less than stellar medical care can be applied to them.
For example, globally the amount of people that have died from swine flu appears to be lower than the amount of people that die in traffic accidents per year in my tiny 10 million people country.
Somewhat (yet not at all) related: I had a dream once that I was in the woods being hunted by pigs on their hind legs with assault rifles. All I had for defense was a potato gun. I bet you're all glad to know that.
Doesn't "normal" flu kill more people every year than H1N1 has?
