Nope. That's a common misunderstanding. Not once did we see a Reesean replicator advance beyond its programming. Even "RepliCarter" was still only interested in growing her kindred, and she was the most sophisticated of them all.

I think her point was that classic zombies eat people rather than take them over. The replicators in Ark of Truth were not ingesting the guy. They took him over to find out how to disable the destruct code.
