then why not read over some of the older episodes,
Also those who have not already could read s09's "Ark of Truth" (the link to it is in his sig). Although I really liked the original "Ark of Truth" his is very well written.

    Dr. D
    God is the original transporter.

Acts 8:39b-40a: The Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Phillip away and the official did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing. Philip, however, appeared at Azotus (an old city in ancient Israel) and traveled about.

He is also the author of love and justice:

    Spoiler:
Romans 5:8: But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

John 14:6: Jesus (Christ) answered: I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Personally, I don't think vampires belong in 20th/21st century settings (unless it's the early 20th century). Transylvania about a hundred years ago should be the latest possible setting, but I kind of like vampires in medieval fantasy settings, thanks to The Elder Scrolls.

VAMPIRES DON'T SPARKLE! NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

          Better than following the norm...

I have an inherent dislike of Vampire stories. Too much pseudo-theology.

Meh, it bothers me more when they try to explain thier powers with all sorts of presudo-science.

                Aren't you religious, though?

More questions: if you were in command of the ISGC, which enemy race (of the entire franchise) would you be most afraid to face and why? Just curious, and personally I think the Wraith would be the worst... I mean, the others can only kill you. But the Wrath can suck the life out of you, put it back in, rinse, and repeat... forever...

The Goa'uld System Lords: Ruling over an empire that once spanned the entirety of the Milky Way, the System Lords were the dominant force in the galaxy for thousands of years. Consisting of a council of the most-influential of the parasitic aliens, the Lords commanded a fleet of hundreds of motherships and kept entire sectors under control via their legions of Jaffa warriors. The Goa'uld were ultimately brought to their knees, however, by the combined forces of a Replicator invasion, a Tau'ri assault, and a Jaffa rebel uprising.

Replicators (Ida): Created by the android Reese many centuries ago, the Replicators were, for eight years, the most-terrifying foe humanity had ever encountered. Capable of multiplying to incredible numbers in a matter of hours and assimilating all advanced technologies they could into their being, the bug-like robots overran the nearby Ida Galaxy, very nearly wiping out the powerful Asgard. Eventually evolving human-form versions of themselves, the Replicators swarmed into the Milky Way, but were finally destroyed by the Ancient superweapon hidden on Dakara.

Aschen Confederation: Perhaps the most-cunning adversary of Earth, the Aschen are a human race far more advanced than most others in the galaxy, though they lack powerful hyperdrives and real knowledge of the stargate network. In an alternate timeline, they were able to topple the System Lords and take control of Earth, though that plan was thwarted by the alternate SG-1. In reality, the Confederation is the most powerful Milky Way coalition next to the Alliance, and has sided with the Der'kal in their war against it. They are a patient and watchful people, willing to invest decades into a bid for domination... and with their mastery of bioweapons and deceit, they rarely fail.

Wraith: With the distinction of being the only race to actually defeat the almighty Ancients in war, the Wraith are among the deadliest species in the known universe, and the masters of the Pegasus Galaxy. Originally a hybrid of humans and the iratus bug, they have evolved into powerful telepathic "vampires" with awesome abilities. They field an enormous fleet of hive ships and escort vessels, allowing them to pummel any enemy into submission with relative ease. Keeping Pegasus in check through cullings and orbital bombardments, the Wraith are almost completely unchallenged in their reign of terror, though the Atlantis Expedition has had limited success against them.

Ori Crusaders: Led by the ascended kin of the Ancients, the Ori, the crusaders who invaded the Milky Way following the fall of the System Lords are considered the most devastating foe of the pre-Alliance galaxy. With technology and weapons created from the higher knowledge of their "gods," the crusaders swept aside resistance from the Free Jaffa, Earth, and Tok'ra alike. In their three year war they were able to conquer vast tracts of space and shredded all armadas assembled against them. They were finally driven back by a shaky alliance of Milky Way races over Chulak, when the Ancients stepped in and ended hostilities, allowing SG-1 to use the Ark of Truth to destroy the last of the Ori once and for all.

Replicators (Asuran): Unlike their cousins in the Milky Way, the Asurans were created by the Ancients to combat the threat of the Wraith in the Pegasus Galaxy. Conceived of as a nanite force that could attack from within, the Replicators evolved into human-forms who were able to emulate Ancients and their technology perfectly. In their brief war against the Atlantis Expedition and the Wraith 10,000 years later, they were still frighteningly efficient, though Dr. Rodney McKay's brilliant hacking and programming skills were able to punch through their defenses and, with help from a Friendly Replicator ANdroid, destroy them. Now the only Asurans that exist are under the command of former Atlantis leader Elizabeth Weir, trying to find their place in the universe.

Lucian Alliance (Zanous Garrin's): The Lucian Alliance was only a small-time smuggling coalition when it first came to the attention of the SGC, but after only three and a half years of operation, it had grown into a criminal empire that spanned the entire galaxy. Under the direction of its mysterious and extremely-ambitious leader Zanous Garrin, it was even able to go head-to-head with the newly-formed Alliance and win. For a time, it seemed as though Garrin's strategies and resources simply could not be matched, but the brilliant tactics employed by Alliance leaders at the Battle of P9X-335 were too much for even his genius. His fleet destroyed mere moments after his revelation as an android agent of alien powers, Garrin's carefully-crafted organization crumbled to dust.

Der'kal: Arguably the most successful and powerful of any of the galaxy's villains, the Der'kal armada holds the distinction of being the only alien race to conquer Earth. Planning their incursion into the Milky Way for thousands of years, they laid the groundwork carefully and quietly, ensuring that when the time was right, no one could resist them. After the fall of the Ori crusaders to the Ark of Truth, they dispatched the android Zanous Garrin to sow mistrust and suspicion throughout the new Alliance, and a year later, they arrived in full. With their fleet of hundreds of warships, they easily blew past world after world, and after only two years of fighting, fully half the galaxy felt the grip of their occupation. Now the Alliance struggles to hold on in preparation for what could be its last stand, as the sheer might of the alien menace comes down to wipe out everything in its path.

to be honest if any of them came bearing on Earth this minute i would be scared ****less. but would that stop me fighting them back. hell no! if anything the knowledge that they were real and that there WAS infact something else other than this dump we call a "beautiful" planet. but no matter how much i hate being on Earth i would defend it with my life. much like every human on the planet. (as in i would defend any human (even if i dont know them) even if it was risking my lie to do so)

but if i had to choose what am i araid of it it was real? the Derkal for sure. they have done what no others "have". "conquered" the Taur'ie

The Asurans, definitely. I wouldn't like to become a Replicator if I were to be caught, or at least infested with nanites. Immortality is a far worse fate than having my life sucked out by a Wraith, in my opinion. Yes, they could keep on for ever, but even a Wraith's patience needs to have a limit, and they'd give up eventually.

That is a tough one. It would be a tie between the Wraith, Der'Kal, and the Asurans. The Wraith because they
can suck the life out of you, put it back in, rinse, and repeat... forever...,
the Asurans because they can assimilate me, and the Der'Kal because they seem to enjoy murdering people and torturing their prisoners more than the Goa'uld.

Which is precisely why I dislike it.

As can the Goa'uld, the Ori, and (by all rights) the Asurans.

But, in all seriousness, I'd have to say either the Asurans or the Der'kal. They're pretty much the only ones with brains.
