Here's what I compiled from earlier in the con thread.

East - around 1hr away from Burnaby (where the conference is)

-Pitt Lake/Widgeon Creek (SGU "Faith") with Edora on the Way (SG1 "100 days")
-Fort Langley (SGU "Epilogue", Once Upon a Time hall)

West (Downtown-ish & UBC) - around 30+ minutes
-Sunset Beach + appartments (SG1 "affinity")
-Granville Island (SG1 "Moebius")
-Vancouver Art Gallery (it was washington DC in various, such as "foothold", "secrets")
-YaleTown (daniel's apartment)

-Chan Center (SGA "Condemned") (UBC)

Vancouver proper/Burnaby
-Bloedel Conservatory (SG1 "GameKeeper")
-SFU (Sg1, homeworld of the Tollans)
-Bridge Studios (well, we can always just drive by...)

South Fraser (Richmond, CLoverdale, etc)also around 30 minutes away
-Steveston (SG1 "Night Walkers", Once Upon a Time)
-Richmond Sand dunes (I'm not sure if they're accessible this time of year...)
-Cloverdale (SG1 "red sky" church, home of smallville, SGU)

I know about those. I have more than I have time to add so I was going to try to add the one that aren't on RDA's website first.

Thanks for these. I think I have exact location for many of these.

I like putting them on a map because that way you can hit the one that are near or on the way to the ones that are the must see places.

A shooting location has me stumped.

In the SG-1 episode 619 "The Changeling", the fire and rescue is dispatched to the Taylor Way Overpass. According to my research, the filming location was also called Taylor Way Overpass. According to Google Maps there is only one Taylor Way in Vancouver BC and it only has one Overpass (over Hwy 1). The road is only 1.8km long (1.1mi) so it was easy to study using Google Maps Satellite mode and street mode. This can't be the correct road. The road is too wide, not curved, and has different guard rails.

Anyone have any ideas where the correct shooting location is?

Thanks for the info. That is the site I used the first year I went to Vancouver. I've been to most of them so I am looking for ones not on that list since this trip is the last time for me. I do plan on putting them on my Google Map though. Send me your email and I will give you access to it.

Also, what are the other post-production, digital special effect, and sound companies for Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate Universe?

I'm visiting Vancouver in August and I'd love to check out some more Stargate sites. On previous trips to Vancouver I've only visited the locations in downtown Vancouver, but I'm considering venturing further out on my upcoming trip.

Slamaina, I'm about to email you to ask if I could access your map. That would make my life much easier. :-)

Do you have any favourites from the list? Any that you think I MUST see? Or does anyone else reading this think there are any sites that I should *definitely* see? (Preferably ones that are easy to access on public transport, as I won't have a car).

I would suggest you do the studio as you can get that, the hotel across the street plus the little cafe that's across the street too. Sam's house is another easy do by public transport. I too did a lot of them by public transport. I'll try and come back here soon and give you some more suggestions.
