In the episode Whispers, Dusty comments to Alison and Carson that she'll "be back in twenty. . .unless there's a sock on the door." Carson gets this fixed smile at the insinuation that he and Alison would be sleeping with each other off world and, when Dusty leaves, says, "She's a character, that one."

Exactly. I'd been staring at those lyrics for a while and not coming up with anything.

I do that a lot, though. Pick a song that fits a story even if it's never mentioned in the story. Then, if I'm having problems getting into the story, I play the song. It's almost Pavlovian. Play the song, my mind starts working on the story. And, months after the story's done, I'll still be right back in that spot every time I hear the song.

I have one story with Sheppard where I did a HUGE bit of emotional whump, plus a fair bit of physical whump toward the end. I finished it just over a year ago, and, to this day, still fall right back into the mindset for that story whenever I hear the song that accompanies it.

That's pretty much the reaction I have when he says that light will just be "uncomfortable" for him and since I'm pretty much Lansiah, though she's stronger and prettier, I figured that would be her reaction as well.
