Hello from a newbie! I was excited to find out about the Rewatch recently. I have been doing a very slow rewatch myself over the past 3 years or so (ever since I bought the DVD set), but I'm only now starting season 8. Once I saw that Gateworld was doing a rewatch, I just thought..."What the hell, I'll start from the beginning again if it means I can join in on the fun and discussions." It will also ensure I finish everything, including Atlantis and SGU in the next year and a half. So here I am, starting at season 1 again. I figure you can never get enough Stargate It's been a few years, so things aren't completely fresh too. Just started today with COTG and The Enemy Within. Yay for a young Jack O'Neill. I have some catching up to do if I want to finish Season 1 by the end of August, but I have 2 weekends left, right? This is going to be awesome!

Trying to keep up, though. Horrendous thunderstorms seem bent on keeping me off my computer but I won't let them stop me! Well, a fierce thunderstorm like tonight's can make me shut down, but then I'm bouncing back to the board and pushing on with Stargate Rewatch. Take that to the cloud, T & L.

I'm trying to envision going through all of SG1 and then starting on SG Atlantis, then SGU...Wow. A truly grand undertaking. Do we get cool tee shirts that say, "I completed the Stargate Rewatch 2011 - 201?!" or something?

Just kidding. Or hoping. No really, just kidding.

        We could make our own.
If those storms hit when you watched 'Torment of Tantalus' that enhances the viewing experience of that episode no end!!!

Wow, Dec 2012 seems a long way a way, so much lovely Stargate to enjoy!

I'm trying to keep to a Rewatch schedule of one ep per day when there isn't any other scifi I'm watching. Of course I'm going to have to pick up the pace slightly this coming week if I'm to finish S1 before the end of the month. Next week I'm in St Ives and I'm only going to be back here briefly before heading off to Lithuania for a week so when I get back from that....and catch up with everything else...the SG1 S2 Rewatch schedule is going to be a bit nutso.

            Love the idea of t-shirts.

I'm going to watch "Hathor" and write up a review. I will probably watch "Singularity" and "Cor-Ai" today as well, but I may not have time to write up their reviews for another day or two.

On the 5th of March 2010 I got a set of SG-1 DVDs as a present for my birthday. Since then I've rewatched SG-1 three times. However, I was happy to join Stargate Rewatch when I learnt about it ten days ago. Now I'm through with season 1 and I've started season 2. Traditionally I watched my favourite episodes Emancipation, The Nox, Fire and Water, Tin Man two times each during this rewatch. My friends don't approve of it. They say I'm crazy. :-)

I will have to play catchup when I get my hands on an SG1 box set, assuming that's before the end of september I can probably jump in by the end of October (I am superb at binge watching TV) I will probably limit my participation to gateworld threads, I just need a weekend here or there, to binge watch a season or so and I'll be in the game.

I rewatch stargate about once a year. I was starting to get the itch when I heard about the rewatch and I postponed my personal rewatch. So excited to do this with an entire community that shares the SG love!

3 Episodes a week? Lightweights. ;-) Maybe I'm entirely crazy, but I watch 3-4 episodes per *DAY*, and have been doing this for years! So consider yourself joined yet again by

The one thing I really love about SG-1 is the writing is really, REALLY good. Little subtle tie-ins from previous episodes, and every time I watch it, I see or hear something new. For example, in Covenant, when Sam & Daniel leave Colson's place and are checking their phones, Daniel says "I have 13 messages from Emmett Bregman". It didn't dawn on me who that was until this time around - it was the filmmaker in Heroes Part 1 & 2!

My wife & kids & I made a trek to Vancouver BC last month. One of our activities was to find a few of the filming locations. Here's a few photos. I'm sure my fellow Gateheads will recognize them and their related episodes:

Glad to see so many more 'crazy' people joining us for the rewatch! As the saying goes, 'birds of a feather....'

I've got the last 4 eps of season one left for this week.

'Tin Man' is one of my favourites, nice to see some others like it too, it doesn't seem to get much love generally. Com-traya to all new Gateworlders!

I'd love to, but work interferes That, and a season needs to take a month, not 6 days

So what you're saying is it has to do with flocking, and togetherness, but the real question remains if you're familiar with the particulars? (+100000 points if you get the reference without looking it up! ;-) )

I love Tin Man. Great episode! Better.... *HOW*!? I didn't realize this at first, but the actor who plays Harlan is the same guy who plays the Lord Protector in "The Tower" in Stargate Atlantis.

I fell in love with SG-1 when I saw The Torment Of Tantalus.

It's from when O'Neill was talking to the guy they met in the ruins of the Ancient city in the first ep of season 7, 'Fallen'. They were exchanging sayings.

Quite a few actors turned up in the various series' playing a totally different character. It was a bit weird when they were very memorable characters from the previous series they were in, like the Tolan, Narim from SG-1 turning up as Elizabeth Weir's boyfriend in SGA. Also the Ancient, Ayiana from SG-1 turning up as Colonel Young's wife in SGU.

I can't think of any actors who appeared as different characters in all 3 series', if indeed there were any. I'm sure someone out there will know and enlighten me!

Great pictures, so you've done the 'pilgrimage'

If you come to Vancouver again we should all meet up. I live out in the further reaches of Vancouver in "Edora", and not far from the vast lovely area where SG1's 'Paradise Lost" and SGU's 'Faith' were filmed. I end up in Cloverdale five days a week because I work there! Not far from there is the place SGU's 'Epilogue' was filmed.
