KAVAN SMITH, ROBERT PICARDO, CHUCK CAMPBELL, STEVE BACIC

    Spoiler:
KAVAN SMITH, ROBERT PICARDO, CHUCK CAMPBELL, STEVE BACIC

All came on stage to much applause. I haven’t seen Kavan Smith and Chuck Campbell before so another treat for me with new guests.

Chuck began to talk about his latest project, he’s doing a Saturday Night Movie for Syfy, ‘The Abominable Snowman’. His lines mainly consisted of saying “get back!” He said it would make a good drinking game to down a shot every time he utters that line in the movie! To top it all he never saw the Abominable Snowman!

    Q. What was your best RDA moment?

    A. Chuck – he called Chuck ‘Chad’!

Robert Picardo joined in at this point saying that he called Chuck ‘Chet’, he just couldn’t remember his name. Wolsey just kept saying “Hello you!” He was glad they allowed ad-libbing in Stargate!
Robert said he was on the show ‘Gilmore Girls’ and played the ‘mother’
“I’m wearing my thong now.” He said with a straight face, at this Kavan and Chuck moved their seats away from him!

    Q. To Kavan – What was it like working on Eureka

    A. Lots of fun, he loved playing the ‘sinister Andy’ and playing ‘himself’ lots of times as Andy clones.

    Q. What would you have liked to do more with your characters?

    A. Kavan – He felt Lorne should have had more screen time, felt there was much to develop in the character. “Now he works for a Carnival juggling chain saws!”
Robert joins in adding, “Richard Wolsey is now a spokesman for Preparation H”!
Chuck – He put on a sad face and said “Chuck, kept turning up at Bridge Studios, he didn’t know it was all over.”

    Q. Were any of you ever involved in set disasters, where you broke stuff?

    A. Chuck – as he exited off the Atlantis set after a scene he bumped into one of the huge pillars off to the side of the set. It was not secured at the top and it began to sway, it almost crushed the control room! Needless to say that was fixed afterwards!
Robert – Described a ‘wardrobe disaster’ where David Hewlett changed his uniform ‘Canadian flag’ sleeve patch for an American one as a joke. It cost $150,000 to re-shoot the scene!
Kavan chuckled at this, “he’s an idiot!” He said jokingly.

    Q. The person asking this question said that the way they were sitting on stage looked like a police lineup. He asked what crime would they think their character would commit.

    A. Kavan – A crime of passion!
Robert P – Write about his exploits on a government website.
    Chuck – Hotwire cars!

    Q. To Kavan – If SGA continued how would have Lorne developed?

    A. Establish character more, would tease Hewlett and McGillion more. Would have liked a sexual romance (guy/girl)!

The next person asking a question of Kavan was asking if Lorne would have been made ‘gay’ in “Season Sex” Of course this slip of the tongue was pounced on.
“Stargate Penis – New series” was the reply.(Didn’t note down who said it!)

    Q. If you could work with someone who would it be?

    A. Chuck – A monkey that can skate and play basketball.
    Kavan – Everyone!
Robert – “Chuck’s fascination with monkeys could bring a new virus into the human population!”

    Q. If you could pick a love interest for you characters in the show, who would it be?

    A. Steve gives a hangdog expression – I wasn’t in the show.
Chuck – “Most of you don’t know this, I was banging Weir the whole time!”
“She didn’t feel a thing!” someone replied (didn’t make note of who on the panel)

    Q. To Steve – What was the difference with working on the set and with the casts of Andromeda and SG-1?

    A. “I danced a lot more on Andromeda!” Chris Judge did too! He liked dancing with Lexa!

    Q. What is your favourite part of working outside the Stargate franchise?

    A. Chuck – “Flies” This was a reference to a story he told at the Celebrity Cabaret the night before. It was a job he did as a student, planting trees in a remote part of BC. No one told him about the flies. He said you could hear them coming, all the other guys had protection, he was set upon by a swarm of them and he said they don’t sting, they bite!!!

    Kavan – Deputy Andy.
Robert – Seven years on ‘Voyager’.

    Q. For Kavan – ‘Escape From Mars’, Kavan broke in with an audible groan on hearing this. The guy continued, “When you look at script do you look for bad accents and then do bad ones?” There were boos from the crowd, Kavan looked around and shouted…”Call security!” All good natured though.

    Q. To Robert – What was it like working on ‘Supernatural’ as a Leperchun?

    A. He grinned, “I got to beat the $hit out of Jarred, and I thought I made a pretty good ‘Fairy’!”

He added that Jared and Jensen are gentlemen and great to work with.

    Q. To Robert – On Voyager did you enjoy the Doctor’s singing parts?

    A. Robert said he actually suggested it, so yes!

    Q. There are so many Stargate actors on ‘Santuary’?

    A. Due to so many actors who appear in both living in Vancouver.

    Q. To Robert – What was it like working on Voyager with Jennifer Lien?

    A. It was wonderful, he was sorry to see her go.

    Q. ‘Primeval’ with Amanda Tapping directing are any of you on it?

    A. Stargate actors will turn up, Chuck hopes he can land a part.

    Q. For Robert – Dr Murray on ‘Castle’, will he be coming back?

    A. He doesn’t know.

Robert Picardo ended the panel with happily saying that he was glad that other young actors sat with him.

      CHRIS JUDGE

      Spoiler:
      CHRIS JUDGE

He came on stage with a big grin and waving. I was busy taking photos so didn’t get any of his opening conversation.

      Q. How did they stick the Jaffa symbol on your forhead?

      A. “Stapler!” He laughed, then said it was stuck on with medical glue, the same stuff they used to stick cuts together. He joked that the hospitals were short on the stuff because the TV and movie industry kept using up all the stocks!

      Q. What was Tony Amendola like to work with?

      A. Nice guy, what you see is what Tony is. He never fussed about Chris’ farting!

      Q. Teal’c knows all and sees all, what did Teal’c think was going on with Sam and Jack?

      A. “I’m very much like Teal’c, he’s so black and white. He would think relationships are silly and would find humour in anything he knew about.” He pauses, “I can’t say any more in case there is a re-union movie!”

He added after a serious pause; “Probably, Jackson and Mitchell were more than just friends, and Teal’c really had a thing about O’Neill”!

      Q. Did you have fun making ‘A Dog’s Breakfast’ and would you work with David Hewlett again?

      A. I would do anything Hewlett asked of me! Everyone had a great time, there was never a feeling of being overwhelmed by pressure of filming.

Funniest thing was that he knew David’s wife from way back when he lived in LA, there was lascivious laughter from the audience, Chris looked innocent, “You can’t give an inch?!” more laughter and everything he said was heading towards more innuendo!

      Q. What was the most embarrassing question you were asked at a convention?

      A. At a Dutch convention he was asked how “big” he was! He answered, “Whatever you may imagine, and no lady, that is not my symbiote!”

      Q. In ‘Holiday’ when you were switching bodies you did a good ‘O’Neill’ impressions, do you do any other cast impressions?

      A. Peter Williams, he really enjoyed playing Apophis. Chris would run through the set impersonating him shouting, “I am your God!”

There was a poster of Teal’c in the first two seasons of SG-1. He looked very stern in it. He got every cast member to do an impression of it.

When he was doing the remastering of Teal’s voice for the remastered ‘Children of the Gods’ he forgot how Teal’c sounded back then and thought it would be great to do him like Yul Brenner in ‘The King and I” with the “etcetera, etcetera” voice!

      Q. What projects are you doing now?

      A. He gave a cheeky grin, “low budget” movie, ‘Batman-Dark Knight’. He couldn’t talk about his role. He never knew how much of the movie he was in as the scripts were given out piece by piece by the Assisant Director on a daily basis and the ‘sides’ were watermarked and collected each time at the end of the day.

Michael Cain said it was a great script, but they all really had to keep it secret, but did say, “it has a cool twist in it.”

He’s working on a new movie called ‘To Have and to Hold’.

      Q. Being on the show for so long, what is your best memory of being involved?

      A. He liked how he was let free with Teal’c’s Jaffa speech and behaviour. He told the story of how the naming of the ‘Zat’ gun came about. Peter Glassner had put together 18 consonants and when Chris read the script he asked how it was pronounced, he replied, “I don’t know, you’re the Jaffa!”

Teal’c’s trademark ‘Indeed’ came about when he was thinking about how saying ‘yes’ was too ‘Earthist’, so in a scene with RDA he said ‘Indeed’ and it stuck.

How ‘Kelnoreem’ came about was another amusing story.

A result of him always ‘enjoying a night on the town’. One time he arrived on set after one of those nights without a break. They were filming the first Tok’ra meeting and Sarah Douglas was going through a 4 page speech. If we look at the background shots you can see Teal’c asleep in the background.

Another time they were doing a briefing room scene at the SGC. He felt asleep and was woken up by Peter De Luise who was directing shouting at him, “Are you sleeping?!” Teal’c replied, “no, I am meditating.” He added the fact that why would Teal’c be interested in Earth politics anyway! His ‘Kelnoreem’ meditating turned up in the script after this!

      Q. When filming ‘The Changeling’, how much fun was it to sit and ride in the fire trucks?

      A. So much they had to stop us!

He had always wanted to slide down the pole too and everyone got to do that too! It got to the point they had to seriously think that they couldn’t keep having all this fun all day, they had work to do.
“Being an actor is ridiculous, when you get to do so much and then get paid for it!” He said with glee. He reckoned he may have only done “17 minutes of acting” in that episode, times like this makes it the coolest job ever!

      Q. You like doing practical jokes, what have you done?

      A. “Joking is overrated.” He said with a wicked grin.
The list he reeled off included, putting milk on peoples’ carpets, saran wrap on toilets, eggs under sofa cushions in trailers and duct taping people to stuff.

He duct taped Teryl Rothery to her chair, she was only sitting there quietly minding her own business. She sat there for an hour!

He recalled that the job of Assistant Director was an adversarial one. Now that he had stopped drinking, whole part of memories of show are coming back he joked.

When they were filming ‘Fire and Water’ they were on the beach in Feburary/March time, the wet suits they were wearing didn’t help, it was cold. The Assistant Director was being particularly bossy he said so when he saw her relaxing by a tree he duck taped her to it from shoulders to ankles. It took and hour and a half to free her afterwards.

He’s not so proud of his practical joke skills as he is with the art of producing gas, it is his greatest skill and had got it down to an art! He ate brown bran, Slimfast and Benefibre the night before making the results the next day “explosive!”

They got him back once, where he was dying in the operating room, they shut him in, he was really dying then as he was “very fragrant” that day.

RDA and he used to have contests, measured by the criteria of sound, resonance and odour.

One day they were doing this in the control room, it was a warm day, “perfect conditions” he said with glee. They had to clear the control room. There was a memo that went out every day to MGM as to what the causes of any production delays were. This incident was noted and sent to MGM.

A memo came back saying that “Bodily functions that cause production delays are not to be tolerated.”

      Q. Were you ever banned from the set of a TV show that you were not on?

      A. Not banned officially, but he was sent off the SGA set for messing around and producing gas!

He said he just did an episode of ‘The Mentalist’. He was casino security and it turned out that JayAcavone (Kawalsky) was the casino manager. Jay didn’t know and Chris went to his trailer and on seeing him gave him a hug and farted. Of course once they got together he said they behaved like they did on the Stargate set. Simon was more reserved and when they called him over to come join them he ran the other way!
In the new movie he is doing he was doing a fight scene. The fight co-ordinator says “sell the punches” in Chris’ mind this is asking for trouble. He ended up being punched in the eye by accident and got cuts to his eyeball. Chris Nolan/Dark Knight wanted to see if he was OK and ready to go back to work. Of course he said yes and hoped he wouldn’t be hit again. Of course he is grazed a second time, turned out he wanted to see if he would do it again.

      Q. Did you audition for Teal’c?

      A. He had a previous acting relationship with RDA, at this point someone shouted out “McGyver!” Chris rolled his eyes dramatically, “I’m aware of that!”
Every actor did 21 Jump Street then McGyver, then hey….

He was playing the part of a young cocky high school football player. He rehearsed with Dan Shea first, then RDA. McGyver was teaching him about leverage and flips him over, RDA was not looking and on ‘action’ being called he farted, and that was how he first met RDA.

When he auditioned for Teal’c his hair was as long as Jason Mamoa’s. He cut his hair for the pilot scene. He had 2 screen tests, one for MGM and one for Showtime. There were 3 General Hammonds, 3 Carters and 3 Dr Jacksons, and 10 Teal’cs only one other black guy the rest were white, Asian, Hispanic. At the end Hispanic Teal’cs leave, white Teal’cs leave and he realizes that he’s the only Teal’c left.
He always felt that when you audition it was better having fun with anticipation than getting the job the first time round. He complained to Brad Wright after that “for stealing my joy”!

LOU DIAMOND PHILLIPS (Colonel David Telford/ SGU)

        Spoiler:
LOU DIAMOND PHILLIPS (Colonel David Telford/ SGU)

This was his first appearance at a convention. He definitely had fun and was great to listen to.

        Q. Your movie ‘Wolf Lake’ with vampires and other stuff was well before its time?

        A. Yes, only the timing of its first showing was sadly wrong, it aired on 10/11. He was flying back from New York on 10/11 and was sitting next to Al Pacino on the plane, Wolf Lake came on the TV screen, he drank the mini bar dry!

        Q. From your ‘Young Gun’ days, do you still hang out with Charlie Sheen and Emilio?

        A. He didn’t say but he said he’d worked with Keefer Sutherland in the first season and ‘mooned’ him in Chateau Marmont!
A part comes up in 24 with Keefer, Dennis Hopper in a bunker, Keefer calls him and asks “Do you want the part?” he quickly replied “Do I ever!”

The person asking the next question was very nervous, he went over to give her a supportive hug.

        Q. What did you feel about being in someone else’s body, getting it on with Young’s wife?

        A. Young was so stoic, it was fun body switching with him! He loves Louis Ferriera, such a hilarious guy, total opposite. He said it’s a treat to do Sci-Fi as you get to do stuff you’d never imagine doing. He and Louis Ferriera were acting like Marcel Marceau with trying to mimic eachother’s mannerisms. He said that love scene was “interesting”, “can’t say more” he added with a knowing grin.

        Q. In ‘La Bamba’ was that you singing?

        A. No, the sound track was recorded before he got the part.

He thought it was a musical about Frankie Valli, he did a great Frankie Valli vocal. He got the script and saw it was a movie about the life of Ritchie Valens. They couldn’t find anyone in LA for the part so they were casting around the country. He read for the role of Bob first and then for Ritchie. He wandered out afterwards, got some blueberries and was idly wandering along and realised suddenly that “I’m Ritchie!” He was screen tested on Friday and got the job Monday. He had one week to learn the lyrics and guitar fingering for 16 songs!

He said he was scared to death but it was a great experience.

        Q. How did you like working on ‘Psyche’

        A. He’d never laughed so much on set. He played a hard-assed character on that but his co-star kept trying to make him laugh all the time.

        Q. I really like Telford, but that scene where he was suffocated to death?!

        A. “Suffocated then electrocuted” He wondered, “how many more times are you going to kill me?!”

He talked about another show he was killed in and decided “it’s a bit unnerving that the fan base likes seeing me killed!”

I lost track of the question at this point but discussion turned to the scene in SGU with the alien (Ursini) He was acting with nothing, only himself and to amuse himself he announced that he was going to tell the alien a joke and “Sevela animated it” It was put on the 2nd season DVD as an extra!

        Q. In ‘Celebrity Cookoff……..”

        A. “Winner!” He interjected happily.

They did this over 10 days. He loves cooking, he cooked for the SGU cast.

        Q. What are your favourite foods?

        A. Vancouver has the most diverse restaurants, “I could eat my way through this town!” He ate the most decadent meal he’d ever eaten here, Lobster/foie gras combo. He did a great Hannibal Lecter impression.

        Q. Being a recurring character in SGU, did you want more for Telford?
        A. He loved playing the character, he wasn’t sure if Telford was supposed to be ongoing even though there was more of him in season two. There was always the overlap with him and Young, can’t divide the screen time.

        Q. Do you speak Spanish?

        A. No – It’s a myth!

He spoke a bit in ‘Camelot’ and was cast for ‘Che’. He said he could do the accent and learn the lines in Spanish.
When he flew to Spain no one told the Producer that he didn’t speak Spanish, “I’m Philippino!” he cried in despair!
Every page of the script was rewritten, he ended up with 8 new pages of Spanish script! He really believed he was going to be fired.

He went into a room full of people and wondered if this was the moment. Somehow he survived!

        Q. Do you prefer to play a bad guy or a good guy?

        A. Both. Likes being a hero.
Bad guys are fun, gives you licence to do crap you never do in real life!
When he read on the web “we hate Telford!” He said “now, that’s it!” happily.

        Q. Can you share any stories from the set of ‘Numbers”

        A. He chose the bad guy role. He didn’t have any idea of how recurring it was but he did get more parts in the end.

His panel was over all too quickly. A really entertaining guy!

Later on that evening at the party for the Gold pass holders he was fun to meet and entertaining as one of the judges for the Centrepeice contest. He was particularly fascinated by the wonderful model of the Destiny someone had made. He gave a guided tour, pointing out, “here is the gate room, here is where I was suffocated, here I was electrocuted” Has a wonderful sense of humour, a genuinely nice guy. I was really glad to get a chance to meet him.

Well he was a she and Kavan got her back later as he continuously teased her all afternoon. As you said though, all in good fun.

WOW, KRIS, That is quite the detailed report. You inspired me to wrote some more of my thoughts. Thanks.

This was my first Creation Con and I enjoyed it. I especially loved the different events that were put on: The Friday Night Cabaret, The Saturday Night Dessert Party & The Sunday Morning "A DOG'S BREAKFAST" breakfast. It would be so awesome if other CONS could do events like these. They were alot of fun and so worth the extra cost.

              Friday

The actors for the Cabaret were Chuck Campbell, Andie Frizzell and Robert Picardo. It was really exciting to see them outside of the normal panel situation. Chuck & Andie (separately) did sort of stand up stuff. Chuck was the MC but he also told quite a few funny stories. My favorite was the tale of how he & a buddy decided one day it would be fun to try skydiving but soon discovered that it wasn't as fun as it seemed to jump out of a plane. Then Andie told some of her and her friend's bad dating stories. They had the audience killing themselves laughing.

Robert Picardo was brillant as well. He sang a few songs and had the audience sing along with him. One funny song was one that he wrote about his time on Star Trek & Stargate. Then he read a dramatic piece he wrote about Dr. Jeckle & Mr. Hyde. The whole audience went so quiet it was amazing.

Thanks everyone for the nice feedback and am glad you've enjoyed reading them.. I spent most of the weekend pounding the keyboard. Work is getting in the way of sitting down and getting a good start on the Sunday panels, but I'll see if I can get one written up each evening, in amongst doing the re-watch and the RL things that need doing too!

Ordered my Sunday photo ops today. They are online now. Still have to wait 3 - 4 weeks until the pics will arrive, though.

Thanks everyone, just happy to share great memories with those who were there and give those who weren't some idea of what went on!

Managed to start on Sunday's panels..........so without further ado!!!

                                SUNDAY 29TH APRIL 2012

JOE FLANIGAN, DAVID HEWLETT, PAUL MCGILLION

                                Spoiler:
JOE FLANIGAN, DAVID HEWLETT, PAUL MCGILLION

Always a treat to watch, these three always play off eachother so well. You can see how much fun they had working together. As always it’s really difficult to keep up making notes with their panels as they tend to go off on hilarious tangents!

                                Q. If the characters got another season, how would you have liked to develop them?

                                A. Joe says with a sympathetic look, “David doesn’t know that the show has been cancelled.
Joe said David did a great Rachel singing impression. He could never stop laughing when Rachel did her singing.
He continued saying that David kept “crucifying Jason with his machine comedy mouth!” Jason was always caught out saying one day, “why is the fat guy always so funny?!”

Paul actually answers the question…. “all my girlfriends die, all I’m left with are me ‘tuttles’!”

David said, “McKay would have ascended.” Then looks at Paul saying “Paul would get another exploding tumour!”

Joe added to this saying that when they saw the script for the ‘exploding tumor they all thought, “that’s good!” in a sarcastic tone. After that episode Joe and David kept going “boom” and other exploding sounds whenever they saw Paul.

Joe said that he would have liked to explore the alternate John Sheppard character from ‘Vegas’ more. He really like the character.

                                Q. To David- Who was the better kisser, Jewel or Paul

                                A. He pointed at Paul with a pained expression, “Jewel, look at that face, it looks like a flounder coming at me!”

Paul responded with saying that David had “sandpaper lips” He looked satisfied, “I just wanted to get that out of the way, and you know the worst bit was, they shouted ‘cut’ ages before!”

                                Q. What was your favourite episode to shoot?

                                A. David cried out “not ‘Duet’!” Joe – “Doppelganger, he loved fighting himself, that hurt!

David then mentioned how everyone thought it was such a joke that in the last scene ever of SGA they all had girlfriends except Joe!

For Paul- ‘Sunday’ he added that “David had a tear in his eye.”

Joe said in ‘Irresistible’ there was a scene where he punches Carson, there followed a cut piece where he says afterwards “Buck up Carson” and takes a tissue to wipe Carson’s nose.

David and Paul also had fun trying to get inside the Wraith Dart which was just too small, they kept falling out. Andy Mikita the director of that episode just shouted that “you are idiots” when he couldn’t take any more!

                                Q. For Paul – However it never got asked as Joe and David kept interrupting due to being put out by not being asked a question! So Paul fills in by asking the question with a sexy smile:
“How did you get so incredibly handsome?”

He told a story of how he and his girlfriend were trying to get into a popular restaurant in LA. People before them were being turned away. However when the guy saw him he asked “are you Dr Beckett?” he said yes and they got a table straight away.

                                Q. For David, “and the other two” the questioner added quickly with feigned fear! How is Mars doing?

                                A. “He’s part robot now.” David answers with a dead pan face.
The questioner also asked why Joe wasn’t in ‘A Dog’s Breakfast’, David replied that “we had the hair covered!”

                                Q. Will there be a sequel?

                                A. “Would love that!” Call it SGA season 6! “Marsgate!”

Random comment thrown in by David, that Joe’s action figure comes with hair product!

                                Q. For Joe- How did you get to meet Evel Knieval as a kid?

                                A. Evel bought him his first motorcycle helmet. His dad was friends with him. He was so excited and remembers going with him in a golf cart and seeing how the man looked to be in pain when the cart hit bumps from all his injuries sustained over the years.

                                Q. For David – with the episode when you were on Wraith steroids did you actually say words when you were speaking so fast?

                                A. Yes, the writers had to write more pages!

                                Q. What do you like doing, film or TV?

                                A. Paul – TV
David – Movies, he likes that he has more time on movies, you can get into it more. With TV you don’t know where you are sometimes!

Joe – “My accountant likes TV” he says like David he likes movies for the slower pace, only two pages of script a day, with TV you have 12!

                                Q. List 3 books on your bookshelf.

They all had to think about this question saying it was a good one!

                                A. David – I have none!
Paul – ‘World According to Garp’
                                Joe – likes biographies.
David – Loves ‘Dune’ and ‘LOTR’ adding “I’m totally Kindle now!”

The conversation wandered off on another tangent after someone asked about a line “Don’t shoot, but fire away” being inspired by ‘The Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’. Then some comment about Paul in a dress in the movie and Joe saying “now you know why I wasn’t in the movie!”
                                Q. What do you think your character’s favourite childhood memory would be?

                                A. Paul – Beckett likes to be tucked up in bed with cookies.
David – McKay has no happy memories!
Joe – Classic boy scout memory, Sheppard firing a rocket, stealing a car!

                                Q. To Paul and Joe – What did Carson and John see in McKay to make them friends?

                                A. Paul – “The writers made us do it!”
Both Carson and Rodney are nerds, Joe said “we just needed the bastard to get us out of trouble!”

                                Q. What was your relationship with Torri like?

                                A. David said working with us was ‘like herding cats,’ took ages to get through scenes sometimes. She is a very serious actress, it must have been difficult for her at times with the ‘less serious’ guys. She had earnest political beliefs so that was like a bull’s eye with the ribbing, David kept saying, “does that bother you?”

“She had a hard job playing a leader that no one listened to.”

David said that they also tormented Rachel, she got mad at them.

When Rachel was pregnant she had a stunt double who had the ‘stunt belly’!

Paul dressed up into her ‘pregnant outfit’ and staged a stick fight with Joe. They took photos and posted them in her trailer with comments like ‘look, mom is drunk!’
David said that it amused them no end as to how worried Rachel was with breast feeding her baby when wearing the Wraith mask. She thought she would traumatize the baby, so the costume dept made a veil for her!

The next person asking a question started with saying they’d met David’s sister Kate, David responded by saying “I’m sorry for you!”

                                Q. Do you have a good natured relationship with her?

                                A. We’ve always been mean to eachother.

                                Q. On set what is your best practical joke?

                                A. David- “not that many apart from our acting!”

Joe’s prank he played on Paul was the best one. Where they put the heaviest guy on the stretcher Paul was carrying in one episode. Through the day Joe kept adding rocks to Paul’s backpack.

Joe said that Paul and David kept ‘b'tching’ about things, allergies and trying to outdo eachother on the b'tching front!

Jason played a nasty one on David. He went into David’s trailer, turned up the heat, cut off the water and did a #2 in the toilet, so when David came in……

……Did we really want to know???! I was still getting over the stories Chris Judge told on similar subject matter the previous day! Lol!

Jason pasted a picture from a magazine called ‘Big Black Butts’ in Joe’s laptop. Joe was pulled aside at customs at LA airport, the female customs officer opened it and looked shocked. She closed it quickly gave him a look of horror and told him to move on without another word!

David was driving home from the studio one evening when a car pulled up next to him, the next minute he was being ‘mooned’ through the window. He didn’t register what was happening for a moment, then he saw Joe’s face looking round and smiling wickedly. He said that now “The ‘black hole’ is indelibly linked to Joe’s laughing face!”

                                Q. What are you working on now?

                                A. Joe- A movie with “Van-Dam” called ‘Six Bullets’ He’s a mixed martial artist. It’s a Sci-Fi action movie like ‘Blade Runner’.
He’s also doing work on a new video game for EA, he couldn’t say more just that it’s cutting edge with him being scanned. His kids get to see “Daddy die again!”

David is doing a new unscripted adventure series called “State of Sin” with Joe, Joe said he gets to beat up David! It’s a live action ‘animated comic’, photographed to look like a comic book.

Paul- did a movie called ‘A-70. Billy Boyd’ ****check this*** A horror movie about two Scottish guys caught up in an alien abduction.
He’d also done work on OUAT, played the Kave of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland world. He said he would be back.

                                Q. If SGA had continued, what character trait would you have developed?

                                A. David – McKay skateboarding! Death of Jeannie! (Awww he’s so mean to his sister!)
Beckett would have hooked up with Jeannie.
Joe- would have liked to develop more of a back story for Sheppard.

At this point Peter Fleming (Agent Barrett in SG-1) came up to one of the microphones and said that Paul is his favourite out of all of them! Paul calls for security!

                                Q. What is your opinion of Todd the Wraith?

                                A. Paul – “Tall and mean”
Joe – “Weird and sexy in a macabre death type way!”

On that totally off the wall moment the panel ended. Thunderous applause as always for these fun witty guys!
