How are you all planning on getting from the airport to the con hotel? Does any one know of a shuttle from the airport to the con hotel or do I have to do transit? I hate taking my luggage on the bus.

I don't get any photo-ops free with my Gold pass, do I? Have to pay for those separately, yeah?
I'm working on it. Need a few more weeks to decide how many I want. I want two with Ryan and three with David. Is that okay? Or is it bad form to get so many of one person just for yourself? I don't know, but it's probably the only time I'll ever get to meet David, and I can't decide on just one pose!
Also want three things signed by David... I have to buy two other autograph tickets then? I'm so excited that I can't even slow down to get my questions in order.

You guys, I'm SO fraking excited!
Am I missing a new thread, or is there still no news on the GW dinner? Must have budget info, ya know.sigpic"It's all in the Algorithm." -Rodney McKay

The cost is usually pretty reasonable. I am budget conscious too and my meal bill has usually been around $15-20CDN. I have to drive home afterwards so I usually only have one soft drink or 0.5%alc beer, despite always looking like I'm always drinking beers in every photo I've been caught on, and water does me for the evening, so that saves a bit of money!
Hopefully my budget will allow me to stay at the Holiday Inn again on the Friday and Saturday night, their rates are cheaper than the Hilton. I've tried the driving to and from home every day during the con and found it really exhausting to have an hours drive each way on top of a long exciting day. Staying at the Holiday Inn last year, especially on Friday night with the Gold dessert party(missed that in previous years as it runs very late) was really handy, only a five minute walk at my slower pace and it was great just getting up, showering and walking to the con venue instead of battling Vancouver rush hour traffic. I had more energy and somewhere to rest if I got tired. Sitting in the car or the Hilton's lobby for some time out is not as relaxing.

It'll be great to meet all of you! Even though I really only hang out in the Hewlett thread, I do occasionally browse about and see your names everywhere! Now I'll have faces to put with those names! How exciting! Frak, it's cold in here.
So, can anyone tell me the usual order of events, say on Sunday? Panel first, then autographs, then photo-ops? Or what? How long do these things usually take? And how long in between them? Do we get preferred line placement for photo-ops with our Gold pass, or is that one just first come, first serve?
Sorry for all the questions!sigpic"It's all in the Algorithm." -Rodney McKay

Schedules vary....and have done a bit more over the past couple of years than they did in the early days when Set Tours and tours of Norco (the set storage warehouse) happened on Saturday and Sunday mornings...
Panels have been held in both the mornings and afternoons recently, photo ops take place sometimes during panels so depending on who you are keen on seeing you might have a schedule clash occasionally....photo ops are first come, first served and move FAST...they expect you there AT THE LATEST five mins before they begin, but trust me, some people will be queueing LONG before that!...
Autos are pretty much straight after the afternoon panels and can be long for those at the back...however, if you are at the back it gives you plenty of time to nip out to buy merchandise or if you're like me, grab a few cocktails at the bar before you need to be back in line again!....

A stickied thread for the GW dinner on Sunday night will be up sometime next week...I'm in talks with another establishment. Cost should be similar to previous years.
