I admit I wasn't sure if I should post at all, but I've talked about it with my GW friends and I know they feel the same as I, so here goes:
First of all, thanks for finally releasing Gauntlet podcast! It was truly well done and I enjoyed it immensely almost to the end.
However, I couldn't help but be very disappointed in David's response to the whole discussion that took place after he'd called Park a b****. I think he totally missed the point I and other posters were making. And honestly, telling your listeners "hey, if you don't like me calling a character names, don't listen! Go away!" is childish at best. You know what David? I'll take your piece of advice. The whole situation is somewhat ridiculous, with you encouraging the listeners to give honest feedback and then mocking them on air when they let you know something could have been phrased better. Where's the fun in listening to that?
Before I go, let me just clarify something. I don't know David personally so all I have to go on are the podcasts. He can be the biggest feminist ever in RL for all I know, but his comments reflect something slightly different. And that's perfectly fine, I have absolutely no desire to criticise his personal opinions to which he is fully entitled. I have nothing against you guys having your own opinions, so different from mine most of the time. If I did, I wouldn't be listening to you at all (btw David, I checked and nobody claimed to have listened to all the podcasts ever made; I certainly haven't, as I skipped all SGA-related ones
). I know and respect that you are simply recording your friendly discussions. BUT if you decided to make them public, you should accept the fact that people can find the language you use a bit offensive (especially given how high are the standards on the forum when it comes to proper language) and they have every right to express their opinions, feelings and disagreements after hearing what you had to say. I mean seriously, you encourage that! I thought that the discussion with Darren when he attempted to explain David's position was intelligent, polite and certainly well-meant, and that it settled the issue. His eloquence is the one thing I can agree with David on. 
Unfortunately it also made David's derisive comments on the latest podcast even more baffling.
So, in David's words: whatever.
