We, as a group, at www.savecarsonbeckett.com would like to express our DISAPPOINTMENT at TPTB for their thoroughly disgraceful handling of the death of Dr Carson Beckett, and the resulting obvious dismissal of Paul McGillion. They have NEVER officially spoken out to fans to address the issue, which is utterly disrepectful. They have NEVER given us any reasonable explanation on Paul's removal from the main cast after N. John Smith broke the news. Not to mention less than 2 seasons of main cast status! They promoted him to reward Paul's hard work and because he was POPULAR. Now they've turned round and taken that back, which is upsetting and bewildering to the fans, and an insult to the actor, Paul McGillion, who has been nothing but loyal, enthusiastic and supportive to this show.
A recent message from Paul to fan's from his official Website:
"...I am truley overwhelmed by the support that is happening for 'Carson Beckett'. Although I can not comment on the situation at this time, please know that I have had the time of my life working on 'Atlantis' and would embrace the chance to keep the good Doctor around!
