I named my son Daniel Jackson and want to get a tattoo for him. Since I named him after the character, i'd like a stargate themed one. I love the idea of getting a DHD tattooed, as he is my home.

If anyone can find me a large, well drawn picture of a DHD or draw one yourself. The Dhd idea is not set in concrete, so ill take other ideas as well.

This tattoo will be covering my ribs so possible within a rectangle shape.

Still thinking about the tattoo of the symbol for the Hak'tyl although now I want "if you immediately know the candle light is fire then the meal was cooked a long time ago" somewhere....any ideas on how to make that look good?? And thoughts on the Hak'tyl symbol?

I've been watching this thread for almost as many years as I have wanted a tattoo!

As a very long time lurker, I thought I should post up a pic now I've finally had it done, but thought you might appreciate a little backstory first!

I've wanted tattoo's since i was 17, but i could never really decide on something i felt comfortable with having to live with for the rest of my life...

About 3 years ago, then 25, I decided I wanted my first tat to be the phrase "fortune favours the bold" for a couple of reasons,

• My other love is deep space nine and sisko's speech to the fleet before retaking the station always stuck in my mind
• I'd struggled with anxiety in a big way as a teenager (still do to w lesser extent) and that mantra had got me through it - still does...

I decided I wanted to tie together my two Sci-fi loves and have this in the ancient character set, spelt out in Latin, on my arm somewhere... Like this...



So after figuring out what I wanted, it got printed off, stuck on my desk at work, on my pc monitor at home, and I lived with it staring at me for 3 years...

But It's now 2012 and I got sick of looking at it on the tatty bit of paper and not on my arm and about a month ago I finally drummed up the courage to get it done - and here's the result!



So.. after all that.. I Really Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who's posted on this thread over the last 8 years for the inspiration!

Does anyone have the Stargate Address in the right symbol order?

I know the final one is the Earth symbol. But what about the others?

I have some bare real estate on the back of my right leg, and would like to get the Stargate address for Atlantis as a full length tattoo.
