For a tattoo design, gate addresses look... well, kind of bitty. Like the people who have their kids' names tattooed on their arms with as much care and attention as if it was a shopping list, as if they're going to forget which one's which if they don't have their names right there.
If you wanted to use just one, you could get it done within the bounds of a cartouche - the rounded oblong-y 'border' used in ancient Egypt.
Here's a really nice pic of the cover stone from Stargate the movie, with a gate-address cartouche in the centre:

Notice (DJ did) that the point of origin glyph is included as the 'tails' of the cartouche.

I've considered getting tattoos for just about every science fiction franchise I've ever been obsessed with (Star Wars, Firefly, Stargate...) and decided after a while that I'd probably have to get tattoos for either all of them or none of them, because my obsessions are multiple and change on an unpredictable basis. Kudos to those who have managed to pick a science fiction franchise to be so faithful to as to get a tattoo! I'm a little too indecisive.Help me save the Stargate convention! Creation announced that the 2016 Con will be the last one, but I'm trying to keep them going. I'm partway through my SG-1 Stargate - it's part of a back piece comprising ships from Firefly (Serenity's already done, next to the gate), Star Wars, Star Trek, Farscape and Robotech. The piece will be finished off with an SGA gate.
Please excuse the swelling, this was just after the last session. Event horizon is in the process of being filled.

I love my tattoo artist, he's done such a great job with the detailing.
