And hope my dance teacher doesn't mind me skipping out of the country the week before a major competition.

Nope, not Highland, Irish Step. Though I was taught part of the fling (a Highland dance) while drinking in a bar at one con.

Highland is entirely too much prolonged hopping on one foot for my taste.

As for the color, I am going to go with Purple. I like purple.

Hey, no insulting the dance of my ancestors! You should try the sword dance. Lots of changing feet and always the possiblity you could lose a toe!

I like to watch Highland dancing, I just don't think my joints would agree with me trying it. I already abuse them enough as it is.
