GABIT attendees thread

It's a poster, actually, and it's come back quite lovely. To see the tapestry of a couple of hundred hand-written messages and signatures from all over the world in all different handwriting, ink colors, etc., and most of them are such thoughtful little notes. I was honored to put it together, I don't think I realized just how much genuine warmth and affection there truly was out there for Amanda until I began sorting through them all. So many of the messages are simply touching and I think they all really represent the myriad of diverse people that Amanda has managed to have a positive impact on over the years. She's truly a very special lady with very special fans!!

Thought you all ought to be aware that the G4 and Gabit Staff will be moving into the Renaissance on Wednesday 15th November, and therefore after Tuesday our internet access will not be as freely available to answer queries. To that end, any problems you may have about either AT2 or Avalon should be put to us sooner rather than later.

I'm sure this is posted somewhere but I've just looked in the GABIT forum and on Legend's website and (likely due to my own denseness) cannot find the information. What currency does Legends take at AT2? Do they take credit cards? I seem to recall a post last year around AT2 concerning that but I can't recall the content...

I know they took UK £ last year and I do seem to remember they where going to try and operate a CC facility this year butI don't know if that is going to happen. I'm going to err on the side of caution and take cash.

I just emailed Paul Brown at Legends for you guys and here is his response:-

"We shall be accepting Visa, Mastercard and Amex credit cards. Currency accepted will be Sterling, Euros, US and Canadian dollars."

Ok, I really need help, there is NO way I'm going to be ready by next Wednesday. I just received 6 boxes of stuff I ordered.....including a larger suitcase. There is just no way......my credit card is at the "are you totally nuts???" point and I have no place left in the house to get everything out and pack. So far, everything I ordered fits, including comfomfy shoes for horrible "travel" days, easy on, easy off, butter soft.....but I don't know what shoes to take for the trip part. I'm short, so I need height, but the ones I have are just not that broken in yet. Darn!

I'm rambling....I'm also a nervous wreck. OK, I have to go the post office and store, NOW! Later........ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*giggles* Double EEEEEK! from me... I leave here in just about 24 hours! I should be actually sticking the stuff in the suitcases, but I wanted to get on here quick to check out my usual haunts. Will take a quick surf tomorrow before I leave for the airport. Need to check out where some internet cafes are before I get off here since I'll likely not have 'Net access starting tomorrow until I end up at the Ren on Thursday.... LOL! I may be so deprived I'll spend my whole Thurs. evening on the computers in the business center that Kliggs, Rune and Bev talked about!
