i do have to fit 2 weeks worth of clothes in one bag
Don't do it! I always over pack, have to wrestle with suitbags that weigh a ton and wind up wearing only 1/2 of what I packed. If you want to cut down on "essentials", try looking at some of the travel catalogs, like Travelsmith or Magellan. They are not inexpensive, but they specialize in clothes, suitcases and other things, for people who travel frequently. After this last trip to Vancouver, I have learned my lesson. I'm already ordering "stuff" for hubby....the wrinkle-free, stain-resistant type of stuff....enough said. Men, sheesh!
On fighting:
Farrah: "A swordsman does not fear death, if he dies with honor."
Dr. Who: "Then he's an idiot."
I'm still debating what to wear to the cocktail party. I thought it would be easy because I'd be in school and wearing a trouser suit anyway, but it turns out that I'm in professional themes lectures on Fridays so I have no idea *sigh*
Oh, and does anyone know Kay's email because I've just moved house and need to give the new address (I would assume) for tickets etc.

Balls of string for finding way back to hotel room *check*

Not much time now and I still don't have anything to wear to the cocktail party. Is it time to panic??
For those of us who were at Gabit1, you might find this article of interest. It's from the latest issue of Favour, the magazine for the Hearing Dogs charity and is about their Hearing Dog of the Year Awards. The Life-changing Hearing Dog of the Year award was given to Harry. He's the hearing dog for Pat who spoke so movingly to us all at the convention about how Harry had changed her life
