The episode Vegas was downright fantastic! I loved every aspect of it, the music was so well chosen; the way it was shot, the sets, the actors, the cameos by Brad Wright, poker pro Todd Brunson, Atlantis composer Joel Goldsmith, and MGM exec Charlie Cohen. Thank you Robert Cooper! Just absolutely awesome! It has replaced my favorite for this season! Vegas freaking ROCKED!!!

The Johnny Cash music was a good choice for Sheppard, but I absolutely loved the Mason music for the Wraith!

Music was excellent, and perfectly placed. In some ways it made it all the more tragic, esp. the Cash and Stone tunes. I really felt for the Wraith ('Spike'), and his situation - an ancient soul trapped behind enemy lines, trying to blend in, doing whatever he could to survive as he waited, and hoped, for rescue. Very sad. And Solitary Man for Sheppard...well, it goes without saying how that made me feel.

Good episode...great music...although it depressed the the hell out of me.

I don't remember loving Shep as much as during the end of this episode, and he was dying! but it was one of the best dying scenes on TV and it wouldn't be without the Solitary man!

Agreed. There's been some good death scenes before, but this was one of the best. Got to love the Man in Black.

Dude, as a lifetime Manson fan, I was STOKED beyond stoked to hear that Manson was in that episode (I dont watch Atlantis regularly....soorrry), but I watched this one.

It showed that the producers are willing to jump into controversial and hardcore places. I mean, bringing in Manson shows stones...if only hed been a guest star at some point.

Tell me he wouldnt make an excellent Goa'uld....hes got the ego of one anyways. Lafffffs.

Cool to see my points of interest intersect that way.

P.S. Ironically, the song 'Sympathy for the Devil' was used in a short movie for BMW that had manson at the end shouting at Gary Oldmans devil. Funny as hell.

I was a little upset that they didn't use "Who are You" at all. I mean they were going for a CSI feel right? They shoulda done the credits in the same style with that song. It would have made the show 100% perfect for me.

Yeah, that was the best episode if we talk about music.

Well, I loved the use of Manson 's music but that wasn't exactly unexpected. Some of this board's posters have suggested them before. Gothic look and using Marilyn Manson's sound isn't a a big jump of imagination. Besides, the crew described the Wraith as the Marilyn Manson's since season 1 (For instance, Francks did).

For some reason there is two kinds of music I associate with the Wraith:
Metal and..... Classic. Both show a large range of ( human?) emotion.
