They had a decision to make, and they considered the possibilities. JT lost. End of story.

No-one was debating what it meant. Sci mentioned it to somebody and they asked where it was from so we've been helping her look for it.

I probably should have explainied my thoughts. If they had gone the Sheppard is the father, then Sheppard/Teyla would be canon and I'd get shipper moments shoved down my throat similiar to all the annoying jack/sam moments that I was forced to watch

Fifth openly admitted that he loved Sam while Michael openly admitted that he'd kill Teyla when she was no longer of any use to him. I don't see the connection.
