What will happen with the Tria Discussion and Speculation Thread (Spoilers)

That's just the way it goes when writing a show like this. Too much power, like a few ZPM's or a fully functioning ancient warship shifts the balance of power too much in our direction making battles with the Wraith or Asurans practical cakewalks. In order to keep the suspense and feeling of peril, we must always be at a slight disadvantage. But that being said I whole heartedly agree and would LOVE to see Atlantis in possesion of a fully functioning ancient warship. I just doubt it will ever happen.

I doubt it too, but I agree on the power issue as well as technical. We can't have a huge advantage or it'd look way too easy.

The ship was a wreck after the battle with the Asurans. It could have been repaired, and if so I'd love to see it.

simple tactical thinking will reveal to you that one ship don't make any difference.

one ancient warship against all those hive ships then we have the asurans that can really build ships fast.

even now with the asgard knowleadge we are not all powerfull.

remember what they said one on one the lantian ships were more powerfull but when they came with more ships the wraith were stronger.

we dont even know how fast wraith can build ships.

then we have the way of fighting there we are smarter but wars are not fought on the ground alone they will also need space ships that's evolution while the gate will be main travel you can't ignore ships.

so that we will be to powerfull can be put to rest even now we are in a bind with the numbers game alone.

True, which leaves us to the conclusion of does the ancient war ship contain mini vessels or drones that we can take that can actually be in great use. ( but I doubt there will be that much drones, after all they were in a war just like Atlantis, and ppft we saw how much was left, enough to sweep of some darts) no point of destroying an ancient war ship when we no its going to get destroyed sooner or later. But then again thanks to the Orion we stopped the hive reaching earth so if it’s “desperate times calls for desperate measures” that’s where the ship takes place.

How will they retcon the Oddessy now we have got all those asgard upgrades?

if the asurans or the wraith come with more then 2 or 3 ships the oddesy will be gone, yes the oddesy also has a zpm and that was part that make it possible to destroy the ori ships but at the asgard planet there was one ship left that was a win but the oddesy was almost destroyed.

so when we make more of those type of weapons and upgrades put them on the other ships then they wont be that powerfull and atlantis is at a great disadvantage comes back to numbers.

even if we had ten aurora type ships were not powerfull first they can't man those ships doing repairs are not easy and if they come with twenty then the 9 will be gone.

we will be the underdog and maybe forever atleast the first few thousand years.

It wasn't actually stated whether or not the Tria was the same class as the Aurora. So the Tria could well be the new enemy's ship

Maybe well get to see Midway again this season. Id love for a shot of the completed station up close. Then they zoom out and pan around to reveal the Tria docked on the other side! That would be AWESOME!

The camera wouldn't have to pan around much. The midway station is like 50% bigger than a Puddle Jumper. The Tria is a giant Warship, it would be like an ant standing next to the Eiffel Tower.
