guys, let's take it easy on the 'undressing amanda' talk. I know it's meant in fun, i really do, but when it was about 'sam' it didnt' make me feel as uneasy as when it's about 'amanda' (in her civilian 'off the set' clothes)

i've found that amanda's personal tastes do trend towards the quirky.

she probably liked the dress and - hey, when you have a formal in your closet that you've only worn once and can't exactly wear to every awards show out there, wouldn't you jump at another chance to wear it?

there's nothing wrong with not liking it. I wouldn't wear some of what she does cause...well i'm not 5'9" and skinny

I'm just saying that, when it comes to civvies, the actors get to choose what they'd like to wear. I thought that teal'c's outfit in affinity was awful...but he's wearing it not me

Of course they've established Teal'c tends to favor rather wild colors etc over the years. And look at his hats. Teal'c and Sam really built up a close relationship over the years and I think AT and CJ are good friends too. That's part of why it was so fun for me to see them together on Atlantis for that episode. (how's that for steering us back to Sam on SGA?)

when folks were teasing about photos of SAM in her show costumes, and making the quips, that was one thing.

But the photos of AMANDA in her personal evening gowns getting that same comments...those kinda made me uneasy.
