So I assume this means their going to place gates between the two galaxies which sounds like a smart idea but....how do you dial a gate with no address?

We know from sg1's Off the Grid that the dialing system of the gates can be arbitrarily set in the same fashion that Carter did to escape from Ba'al's ship.
On the other hand, I wonder if it would be possible to link the gates in some way
so that they all form one connected wormhole. That would probably make things too easy, but it would be interesting.
